“Celestial Guardians” Pokemon TCG Pocket Set Announced for April, New Anniversary Missions!

Celestial Guardians will be the name of Pocket‘s next set! It will feature over 200 cards themed after the Alola region. It will release on April 30th.

The set will feature the first immersive Supporter card, Lillie.

Some Pokemon will have cards available in both booster packs, such as Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.

As usual there will be new accessories releasing alongside the set.

On April 30th, the day the set releases, a new solo battle event will allow you to earn a Volume 7 booster pack containing new promo cards, including Rayquaza ex. The event will run until May 13th.

Again on April 30th, a new anniversary event will kick off to celebrate six months since Pocket‘s launch. There will be special missions to collect a full art version of the Rayquaza ex and other accessories. It will run until May 28th.

Here is the trailer for Celestial Guardians:

Ok, that Raichu looks fire and this makes me like pocket even more. I still haven't seen a pack of cards in a non card shop store since the end of 24 and this game is really my only outlet to get cool cards since no one wants all of the old stuff at trading events.
I remember when Pocket was first announced, we were all baffled by why anyone would want digital cards. And in this article one of the people I interviewed for YGO's virtual app mentioned the reason you just stated. Now in 2025 with all the physical card shortages, it makes even more sense.

I'm assuming this is why there are card shortages. More cards could be printed, but Pokemon is making a boat load off of Pocket, which means they make more money and spend less money.

No that's a conspiracy theory. All the evidence says the demand for physical cards is astronomical right now and they simply can't keep up.

I was going to try and master set Space Time Smackdown but I need that Raichu, and if Primarina or Popplio get any cards in this set it’s over for my wallet😭

Omg new acerola card PEAK i want to see the fullart.. this might get me back into pocket. ]

I'm going to buy all the etsy recreations of the card when it comes out

Rotom Dex seems weird. Look at the top deck and choose to shuffle just seems not worth, especially since it takes up 5% of your deck. Rare Candy I'm honestly disappointed works exactly the same as the real TCG. Kinda hoping it would've been similar to Evosoda or at least have some kind of searching out the mon. At the very least I cannot fathom the amount of times I'm gonna find the Stage 2 before the Stage 1. At the very least we increase the possibility of having a Stage 2 from about 10% to 20%. Beyond that Solgaleo could do well with Dialga.

“If the app does even as half as well as other franchises, we could see a huge surge of new fans joining the Pokemon TCG!”

the final line of that article was our warning all along and we didn’t realize until it was too late 😅
