Shining Darkness, SSBB Pikachu

EDIT on Wednesday night: I have had a severe migraine for the past two days (probably from staring at the computer screen for too long and because of the intense heat), so doing much of anything is only making it worst (even playing Pearl). It is going away now, and when it is not impairing my ability to look at the laptop screen for longer periods of time, I will update again (probably tomorrow – hopefully). I used to get strong migraines on a daily basis when I was young, but I have not had many for years (at the most, three or four) – I attribute the problemo to our broken air conditioner, which is being serviced tomorrow. These past few days, it feels like I have been baking in my house, so I have mostly been outside watering, watching TV downstairs with all of the doors open, going in the pool, or sleeping in bed. :p Fun start for my summer! Anyways, I will try to update tomorrow!

Later today, we will have the Diamond and Pearl release of Redshark.

More Shining Darkness Updates – The official Japanese Pokemon website has a new advertisement for Shining Darkness, displaying four new card images – Entei, Burmy, Shellos, and Ralts (yet another one). You can view the four low-quality cards below by clicking the thumbnails (the images were originally extremely small, but were made larger, which is why they are poor quality). I have also posted the card images the official Japanese TCG website posted the other day, just so that all of the images released so far are in one post (click their thumbnails for larger images as well). For easier viewing of the images, hover over the left or right of an enlarged image after having clicked its thumbnail, and click “Next” or “Previous” to scroll through the rest of the images. Shining Darkness, the third Diamond and Pearl set, featuring Darkrai, will be released on July 5th in Japan, and, as usual, we will have all of the latest information on the set either before or on its release! As of now, we know that Burmy, Wormadam, Mothim, Shellos, Gastrodon, Growlithe, Arcanine, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Mew, Dialga Lv.X, Palkia Lv.X, Darkrai, as well as the Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Ampharos, and Gallade evolutionary lines are in the set.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl – Pikachu – The official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website has updated with a news story on Pikachu’s Volt Tackle ability in the game (referred to as its “Final Smash” attack). With a Smash Ball item (an item that will apparently appear on the field like any other item, and allow characters to use their “Final Smash” attacks), Pikachu will be able to use its Volt Tackle, where it will change into a ball of energy and fly around the field and air at high speeds. The attack is apparently only controllable for a brief amount of time, and is quite wild. If the attack stops in midair, Pikachu will also apparently fall and lose a life, so controlling the powerful attack is key. Pictures of Pikachu’s Final Smash are below (click the thumbnails for larger images).
