  • Just finished critiquing your latest story. It's looking good so far and I have high spirits that you will continue working on it!
I'm just pointing out ideas. These are just ones I came up with myself for fantasy scenarios using Pokemon.
Ah, nice. And, yes, Vulpix would make a fine warrior, though it would be a better mage or magician since it's more attuned to magic.
Don't feel bad. I put a total haitus on my own stories until I get my forum projects done.
He'll make you one too, if you ask him. You just need to tell him what Pokemon you want one of.
Sorry for overlooking your fic. I have a lot of stuff to work on right now, otherwise I would have given you a critique yesterday.
Hello! I see you've been working on a fic in the WC. I haven't gotten to it yet, but I just wished to state that it's great to gain another person to contribute to the Writer's Corner. That area has been suffering from the lack of attention lately, so any form of contribution is great. After I skim through Apollo's fic, I'll be getting to yours ASAP. In the meantime though, I tip my hat off to you in the hopes that you continue your novel. I can tell it's in the beginning stages, but every writer improves!

On another note, belated welcome to PB!
Well, my writing style typically involves a lot of backbuilding in the plot. That way it leaves a stronger and more mysterious impact when major plot mechanisms start to come in to play. However, most readers on PokeBeach aren't accustom to stories that require some critical thinking skills to fully grasp the depth of plots (especially since I try to focus so heavily on minute details that may get overlooked if people aren't reading for them).
My problem is that I tend to draw on things in my longer chapters and not have a lot action going on.
Some people get annoyed by how lengthy my fanfics are. I actually topped the 7K boundary with Chapter Two of Dark Nostalgia: Biohazard recently.
Sounds good. For the record, I try for at least 2,500 words or five pages on MS Word before I post anything. But I'm trying to write full-length novel fanfics, so don't think you have to hold yourself to that standard.
Well, that's why she's considered a feral character; she's basically an animal, but can still talk. As for who she should meet, I'd say Cranidos. But that depends on the setting. You said she found a mysterious place in a forest and, since you're calling the story Time Exploration, I presume she travels through time. Cranidos was supposed to be a jungle/forest-dweller in ancient times, so it would make sense for her to meet one first if the forest still existed in the past.
Ah, okay. I'm usually a fan of anthropomorphic Pokemon, wherein the characters take on some humanlike qualities. Part of that includes 'ferals,' which are basically just regular animal characters that are given the ability to speak and such. When writing a Pokemon POV fic, that's normally the path you would take as far as characterization goes. I've written a couple stories in that fashion, namely ones about wolves. I could offer some advice if you want it.
Sounds interesting. Is it PMD-based, per chance?
