Hi, call me Reinforce. I'm a 24-year-old Chemist working in a laboratory. I work at 8 am-5 pm on weekdays, so I generally only go here at Pokebeach at night after work and on weekends. I check the site occasionally via mobile while at work, though with the nature of my work, I can't really post.
Generally, I'm the calm and quiet glasses-wearing person who isn't the type to initiate conversation, but I'm more open and expressive to friends, and I've been told to be quite talkative when it comes to my interests.
My Pokemon experience and subsequent evolution to a fan started with playing Pokemon Red. However, my favorite at the time of my childhood is actually the Pokemon TCG for GameBoy. I'm not really a Pokemon TCG player though, and I've read that the current TCG scene is very different from how it was years ago, so I don't see myself turning collector/competitive for it. As for the Video Games, I've played at least a game from each generation as they come out (Red/Blue/Yellow/TCG, Silver/Crystal, Ruby/Emerald/Leafgreen, Diamond, White). I'm unfortunately not up-to-date with Generation VI (X/Y and ORAS) as my 3DS broke beyond repair and I haven't looked into buying a new one yet.
However, I admit I am actually more of a fan of the Pokemon spin-offs; I prefer their game aspects more than in the main series games. I like the Pokemon Ranger series' fast-paced, interactive, action-packed gameplay. The plots are funny and quirky too, and the game has a way of making you feel more of a cool hero than in the main games. I have played all of them, with Guardian Signs being my favorite. Rangers were flying on Latios/Latias through the skies before ORAS trainers did
Though there's no positive indication of it, I wish that they'll make another and/or more Ranger games in the future.
While for the plot, nothing beats the tear-jerking Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series! Notable for wringing the tears out of even the driest of tear ducts and the most hardened hearts, PMD is one of those games that, despite the frustrating gameplay, people talk about and remember with fond memories just because of the story. The winner here for me is Time/Darkness/Sky.
