Welcome to PokeBeach! I also enjoyed watching Digimon a lot as a kid. I'm planning to marathon the episodes again at some point, since I only watched the first few seasons. I don't really get why there are people that feel like you have to choose between the two. 
Although Pokémon stuck with me more throughout the years due to the games and anime, I do enjoy both. Angemon is actually my favourite Digimon and I love the avatar!
