Yoyoman, no I didn't. If you consider those two to be "early bugs", then we might as well rename the "early rodent" to "early normals" and include Whismur/Slakoth into that category by your logic.

But then that's missing my point, which was that there might not be a 6th Rattata-clone (unless that was not what you were even responding to in the first place..), as then its clear that the only thing there always is is at least some pokemon that fits into a wider/less specific category.

Yes there was it was the sewaddle line and venipede line both are bug types,go through a cocoon stage and have a 2 evolutionary relatives they could not be caught early on and are both found in the first forest. I guess you just had a mental block
