Yes, Pidget does 60 damage the first turn, and then 120 on every following turn that you use the attack on.

I've personally tried Pidgeot with Bronzong, and I've had okay results. The Fighting Resistance helps a lot, but the Lightning Weakness is awful against Thundurus-EX, Raichu, and Dedenne. -
