Kalos Starter set, not Dark Explorers sorry. Which I guess makes it legal but they can't be the same card???

The pokemon catcher's I have are from Emerging Powers and Plasma Blast. The Dark Explorer's card you mentioned shouldn't even be legal anymore since there is a significant change the in the text.
Basically the current Pokemon Catcher says:
Switch your opponent's Active Pokemon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokemon.
While Lysandre says:
Switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon with his or her Active Pokemon.
There is no coin flip involved in either case.

Hey whats the difference between Lysandre and Pokemon Catcher trainer cards? The text reads slightly different but I'm sure it has the same effect unless I'm missing something.

So I heard reprinted trainer cards are okay to use for current legal competitive play. Is there a database or something somewhere I can use that would help me keep track of the cards in the banned sets that are actually legal to play with?
Also do the reprinting rules apply to energy/special energy cards too?
