If it makes you feel any better I've had every pokemon video game stolen by/lost to me since Yellow. The lastest was XY. I bought at least one version from every generation.

As a result I just play the online TCG and collect physical cards.

Chances are your Inkay forgot the move. Take it to the move re-learner and restore the move. Also, don't worry about IVs and/or nature until you get the move on a Noibat. trying to keep high IV parents all along will just slow you down. A Ditto can easily fix nature after an egg move is on the target species after the fact since egg moves now work through either parent, including with a male+ditto combo.
