One thing that will always stick out about Kadabra's long gap in the TCG is going to be the conspicuous gap in the DPBP# cards from the Gen 4 era of the TCG. Given the theme of the set it's wildly unlikely, but I always (hopelessly) hoped the set bringing Kadabra back would have a chase card...

The fancy art Terrastral exes are undermined by the asinine hats. Reminds me of how VMAXes were undermined by the ridiculous clouds. Looking forward to the second half of this gen, kind of.

Plenty of sets did and still have cohesion, it's just getting lost in translation with the modern TCG because they haphazardly glue 5 separate sets into one megaset.

Every generation of the TCG has had themed sets focused on previous generations but it's only the Gen I themed sets that evoke this kind of whining. Why does it upset people so much? Is it jealousy that you will never grow up under peak Pokemania?

That's kind of the thing for me. All the alt arts are nice but the pull rates aren't good enough for the amount that end up existing.

Could very easily end up being an exclusive holofoil style for Europe, the same way Japan has had exclusive holofoil styles, and North America has had its own exclusive holofoil styles.

It's not so much avoiding using him as he doesn't do the 'stock art' anymore anyway. I think he did the artwork for the Alolan forme Pokémon in SM, and that end up being the last time he works on monster design as such.

Full Art Supporters have all had silver borders. Only exceptions I can think of are the XY Generations FAs with gold borders.

Gamefreak doesn’t seem to have a lot of involvement in the TCG – not on a regular, on-going basis, anyway. It’s primarily managed by Creatures.
