I've seen a build that uses Entei EX and Grand Flame to power up Charizard. I'm not sure how Charizard/Entei EX/Victini EX would work, though.

It is uncanny, and a little disheartening. I liked the previous formats, where you could run Stage 2's and still do pretty good.

Indeed; that strategy might be better suited to an Arceus Charizard deck, as you'll want plenty of Fire pokemon. The trick would be holding back while charging up Charizard, then dumping Houndour and Magby on your bench (alongside one of those Houndoom).
