2024 “Ultra-Premium Collection” Releasing in November!

I heavily doubt such premium set would feature Terapagos. Pikachu, Charizard and Eeveelutions are good guesses, though I think a Pokemon that's just below them in terms of popularity, like Mew, is the perfect fit here.

Veluza ex, Yanmega, Billy & O’Nare, and Other Gym Promos Revealed for July!

Veluza (that's an actual Pokemon?) is actually not bad, 240 from a Basic is decent. You can power it immediately in Baxcalibur decks and the downside is negligible in the right circumstances.

Six New Pokemon Center TCG Accessory Lines Released Featuring Umbreon, Ghost Pokemon, Pikachu, and More!

Love the retro look of the Neon Pikachu line. I wish the Pikachu itself would be more retro as well.

    Deluxe Bomb from Stellar Miracle!

It's worth noting that G and H don't have any Tool discard Trainers. As the format cleanses itself towards H-on, these Tool AceSpecs are going to gain power. I also expect any future effects of that type on Trainers to mention "except Ace Spec cards".

Stellar Sylveon ex and Stellar Ceruledge ex Revealed, Several Cards Teased Including Tera Orb and Ho-Oh!

That Sylveon is one of the few Stellars that has a massive pay-off for that attack. Shuffling away two of your opponent's Pokemon, especially if they're Stage 2, is basically a death sentence, especially when it has no downside and can be done repeatedly. On the other hand, I am tempted to say...

Kofu, Veluza, and Crabominable from Stellar Miracle!

    Yaginku used Foresight.

Creatures’s Textless Pokemon TCG Illustrations for June!

Tatsugiri looks like a bedsheet pattern, give that to me.

Dachsbun ex, Galvantula ex, and New Illustration Rares Revealed from “Stellar Miracle!”

Dachsbun is extremely strong, basically an AoE Max Potion - granted, the ability to hit multiple Pokemon isn't that impactful, but there's a reason Max Potion stopped being printed.

It’s the BDIF For a Reason — Advanced Tips For Playing Charizard ex

Except for every reason why ladder is a completely different environment to tournaments. Damn, nothing gets past this guy.

    Orthworm ex from Stellar Miracle!

I mean it's alright. Doing 80 damage isn't anything special. At least it benefits from Metang existing.

It’s the BDIF For a Reason — Advanced Tips For Playing Charizard ex

You're responding to a comment from a month ago. Back in those heydays, the PTCGL ladder might have been close to nothing but Charizard ex.

    Klinklang Line from Stellar Miracle!

That's a kind of card that makes you scratch your head. Obviously there are some meta considerations for running a card like that, but if you take it outside of that, it's a very weird card to run. If you run Klinklang alone, there might be games where you don't get to play it at all. If you run...

    Slowking, Slowpoke from Stellar Miracle!

This is a really fun line. The Basic has a relatively useful attack in a slower game. And for the Slowking's attack, there's a bunch of Stage 2s with impressive but prohibitively costed attacks. People are going to make fun decks on this.

Pokemon TCG Live’s First Year of Stats Released, Less Than 3% Usage Compared to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel

I saw "60 million games" and I was like... that's it? I get that clowning on PTCGL is absolutely justified, but I wasn't expecting numbers that are that low.

New “Paradox Destinies Tins” Releasing in September!

Cool if you don't have access to Iron Crown, pretty mid in any other case.

2024 Pokemon TCG Illustrator Contest Under Fire for Apparent AI Entries

I think the point is that this contest was announced before AI was "a thing" that was useful, so it wasn't considered in the rules. Let me reiterate for the n-th time - you won't be able to catch AI that's used as a part of the process, rather than the whole process; ran locally and...

2024 Pokemon TCG Illustrator Contest Under Fire for Apparent AI Entries

I would suggest reading the rest of the post first. You cannot prove who did and who didn't use AI. Even the cheater in question, who used AI extremely sloppily, put a bit of effort into trying to cover it up. @ this post, but mainly at the Pikachu picture in general - what is the blob on the...

    The Ultimate Past Format Guide

SM-LOT supremacy CONFIRMED. Jokes aside, this is an amazing resource and a very interesting read. It's always interesting to come back to old formats, as you might often find that, without the pressure of a competitive environment and social media opinions, some decks and builds turn out to be...
