Just as people complained that decreasing the crazy power creep is going to result in boring sets, this set comes out with some of the funniest cards. This is a great way to impact the previous format without affecting the next one.

More specifically it says "Put Palafin back into your deck. Shuffle your deck afterwards." Otherwise it sounds like you don't have to shuffle your deck if you don't find a Palafin ex.

There is a lot to comment on, but I want to point out the Dragapult line having a great Ability on Stage 1, but still evolving into Stage 2.

They don't, because they don't leave their place. If you have two baby Palafin, one Active and one Benched, you have to retreat/switch one, it changes into Palafin ex on the bench, then you have to retreat/switch the other one to attack with your Palafin ex (getting a second ex in the process)...

Well, Eeveelutions in Japan came in a set that put them front and back on the packs. I'd believe this set is hot if it was called "Oops, All Charizards!" or "Ghost Type Best Type".

What's the correlation? Evolving Skies had a ton of Pokemon people actually care about (Eeveelutions) while being massively underprinted. The suggestions listed here are meme-y modern mons.

All in all, another great set for H block. There are some interesting build-around cards that nonetheless stay balanced and respect the pace of the normal game. The Trainers stay equally muted, with some exciting options, but nothing that speeds up the game unnecessarily.
