Blissey ex, Scoop Up Cyclone, Ogerpon ex SIR, and More from “Mask of Change!”

I love how the Chansey actually has a useful attack before it evolves into Blissey. The only thing holding this line back from being a great design is the overinflated HP.

GoHenry Launches Pokemon TCG Debit Cards in the US and UK!

The irony of Pokemon TCG teaming up with a "financial education app".

Snorunt, Glalie, and Froslass from “Mask of Change”

Good design that doesn't outright torpedo Ability Pokemon, but targets them fairly.

New Cards and Illustration Rares Revealed from “Mask of Change!”

Tatsugiri looks like another H-on win, a weaker version of Jirachi that doesn't give you absolutely everything you need, but helps your Supporters be more consistent. Not a shoe-in for every deck in the format, but it might find some use here and there, especially in homebrews. Also, it being an...

New Ultra PRO Armarouge and Ceruledge TCG Accessories, Including Table Playmats!

Putting these right next to the Pokemon Center ones from a story released just minutes ago is straight up slaughter.

Not to be confused with the Jamming Tower coming out in the future that makes your Pokemon dance frantically.

Sunkern, Sunflora from “Mask of Change”

Just as people complained that decreasing the crazy power creep is going to result in boring sets, this set comes out with some of the funniest cards. This is a great way to impact the previous format without affecting the next one.

Tera Dragapult ex, Palafin ex, Legacy Energy ACE SPEC from “Mask of Change” Revealed!

More specifically it says "Put Palafin back into your deck. Shuffle your deck afterwards." Otherwise it sounds like you don't have to shuffle your deck if you don't find a Palafin ex.

Tera Dragapult ex, Palafin ex, Legacy Energy ACE SPEC from “Mask of Change” Revealed!

There is a lot to comment on, but I want to point out the Dragapult line having a great Ability on Stage 1, but still evolving into Stage 2.

“Palafin ex Box” Revealed for June with Three Brand New Cards!

I respect the criticism, but this is hardly the worst thing that happened to Standard in the past few years. It's not ideal for sure, but it has a fairly unique engine that's rather flimsy - it's not a single Charizard ex that just powers its own attacks and keeps going. Maybe I'm coping...

“Palafin ex Box” Revealed for June with Three Brand New Cards!

They don't, because they don't leave their place. If you have two baby Palafin, one Active and one Benched, you have to retreat/switch one, it changes into Palafin ex on the bench, then you have to retreat/switch the other one to attack with your Palafin ex (getting a second ex in the process)...

“Palafin ex Box” Revealed for June with Three Brand New Cards!

I had a while to think about this card and I guess it's biggest downside is how many Switch effect it hogs. It needs to move backwards to evolve. If you want to swing with your new Palafin ex, you need to use a Switch - but its attack also forces you to use a Switch next turn. And to put another...

LMAO? Who had a "broken Palafin ex" on their bingo cards?

“Paradise Dragona” Set Name Trademarked for the Pokemon TCG!

Well, Eeveelutions in Japan came in a set that put them front and back on the packs. I'd believe this set is hot if it was called "Oops, All Charizards!" or "Ghost Type Best Type".

“Paradise Dragona” Set Name Trademarked for the Pokemon TCG!

What's the correlation? Evolving Skies had a ton of Pokemon people actually care about (Eeveelutions) while being massively underprinted. The suggestions listed here are meme-y modern mons.

Hassel Revealed from “Mask of Change!”

Looks like a Hassel to play with. Research allows you to see the next seven cards and keep them. This allows you to see eight cards and keep three, for the dubious advantage of keeping what you already had. Without the first clause, this card would be a mildly playable Supporter, perhaps a less...

“Twilight Masquerade” International Card Images Revealed!

All in all, another great set for H block. There are some interesting build-around cards that nonetheless stay balanced and respect the pace of the normal game. The Trainers stay equally muted, with some exciting options, but nothing that speeds up the game unnecessarily.
