Four Scrapped Gen I Pokemon Designs Revealed for the First Time!

I can't tell for sure, but does Tangela's prototype have clawed feet? That's the prototype of Gyarados (the Japanese text under its name is the same as Gyarados' Japanese name). I wonder if it was still intended to evolve from Magikarp at this point?

Oh noes! Although it's in the album I recently added to the first post, I'd never posted the Chickweed Geometer in the thread. It's such a cutie, too! I'm not sure which color I enjoy seeing on moths most, pink or green!

    Discussion The Shiny Hunting Thread

Yesss!!! I finally found the full-odds Shiny Nincada I'd been hunting. :D Shedinja <3 I also found a Shiny Zigzagoon (Aki) while hunting it and apparently contracted Pokérus as well, which had expired before I realized it. I evolved and transferred him to Black Version to keep me company...

No new moths sadly (probably won't be getting anymore this year), but here's a caterpillar I found last month. I think it's one of the Hypena-genus species. I also hung up some of my moth photos. My room already reflected most of my interests (Pokémon, anime, and fossils), but there were no...

    Discussion The Shiny Hunting Thread

I decided that I wanted to try hunting a better-natured Shiny Froslass. I found this instead a couple nights ago: My second full-odds Shiny in Ultra Sun, and what a cutie! I named her Zefir, after the marshmallowy Russian confection. She won't be going on my main team, but I'm still raising...

'GX Ultra Shiny' Pack Featuring Shiny Pokemon, Worldwide Card Legality After All?!

So disappointed that none of my top-favorite Shiny-mon made it to this set... :( I did notice that there are some counterpart Pokémon missing though (Zangoose for Seviper, Lugia for Ho-Oh, and the other Eeveelutions to name a few). I hope this means we'll be getting a sister set!

'GX Ultra Shiny' Pack Featuring Shiny Pokemon, Worldwide Card Legality After All?!

*STILL crossing fingers for a Shiny Dunsparce* I'm kind of disappointed that the Shinies don't have "Shining" in their names despite former Shinies from this era having it, but oh well!

Those are the two plant prints I was talking about. Both belong to Calamites, an extinct genus of giant horsetail reeds (these leaf whorls are referred to as Annularia).

    Discussion The Shiny Hunting Thread

I was doing some quick Shiny-hunting before bed (100 encounters), planning to leave Dark Cave after 25 to hunt elsewhere. Just as I was about to exit, #25 shined! His nickname is Japanese for "angel," referencing one of Dunsparce's Abilities in later Gens., Serene Grace (Heavenly Blessing in...

There's some really neat stuff there! Loving that seashell. I'm not positive about a lot of this stuff myself, but the two plant prints are Annularia, the foliage of Calamites.

Very little moth activity during this cool spell, but I got a Scalloped Sallow last night. Some individuals have darker lines that make the patterns pop more. 150 and more to see! I noticed that the other day. I imagine it was something on Imgur's end. Everything seems to be loading fine now...

    Discussion The Shiny Hunting Thread

The past couple months haven't been kind Shiny-wise, but I finally scored another today, my first full-odds Shiny Zangoose! Not one of the cat-like Pokémon I've had my eyes on lately, but I'll take it! (While Zangoose is clearly inspired by mongooses, I feel that they deliberately made it...

Don't worry, I'm not a big fan of chocolate. If I ate anything here, it'd probably be the Black-Bordered Lemon! (Kidding, of course. I'm a vegetarian!) Another tiny Mini or Grass Bagworm showed up. It hasn't appeared to move for three or four days, so I'm guessing that it's pupating. Will I...

The last few moths of September: While the Meal Moth may be somewhat attractive, it's probably not someone you'd want to share your home with. Their caterpillars are known to feed on stored wheat products, such as flour and oatmeal. Fortunately, this one was found outside. In China, the frass...

Contest CaC September '18: Back to Basics! (All Results Up!)

Taking the edit penalty. I noticed a small typo and decided to decrease the border width and add another attack to fill up some of that extra space while I was fixing it. I fear that I may have made it OP though (even if it would have to be played in a Colorless deck). :I (Now I'm thinking...
