    News Regirock from SM4 Revealed!

It doesn't need to counter Garde, it just needs to go even. If it can go even with the meta decks, then it's playable. People put too much emphasis on trying to "counter," when you can just play a "good deck" and win. Garb doesn't neccessarily counter decks, it's just a strong card, with a...

    News Regirock from SM4 Revealed!

I think the Regis would work better with Brooklet Hill, allowing you to get Regirock and Regice from your deck.

News Alolan Exeggutor-GX from SM4 Revealed!

Agreed. Especially since Exeggcute will probably not be a Dragon type. While DDE has the benefit of setting up faster, DCE is more consistent and can be used on different mons; like Lele.

News 'Shining Legends Ho-Oh Super Premium Collection' in October!

My Mega Salamence collection came with a playmat; it's fairly well made. In-line with some of the Ultra Pro rubber mats. So, I'm hopeful that this will at least be of similar quality~

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

It's useful vs a lot of Pokemon, the problem is... Chimecho is not a complete strategy on it's own, and I'm not entirely sure we have a deck that fits it. Also, Volcanion can still be placed on the bench via Brooklet Hill; though it will prevent Staryu from evolving. Dash Pouch itself, is not...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

Both cards are viable, in my opinion. I feel it's gonna be a Brigette situation though, where the potential is there... we just need to find an optimal use for it. So, we may see Dash Pouch float in and out of some lists, but I think it'll eventually finds it's niche in a deck. As far as...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

The problem isn't the damage, it's what the attack requires. 2 attachments, evolution, tool card. This is not something you can consistently set-up every turn... which quickly becomes a problem, since this card will be revenge killed by nearly anything in the meta. Even Tapu Lele with just a...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

But, Close Combat does a lot of damage; even OHKOing at times. This does 90. Which OHKOs... Primeape. Honestly, there isn't a lot 90 damage will knock out. Unless we're sticking with the game reference, and it's a Choice Banded Primeape...! Nice 120, for an attack that takes 2 turns to set-up...

Discussion Okay, Tapu Lele-GX's Price is Outrageous

My view on this, is: If you're looking to compete, buy the singles. I opened two boxes of Guardians Rising, and didn't get a Lele... so, now I have to spend the money on them anyways. This was my decision, and I don't regret it, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it as an alternative. The...

    News Gengar From SM4 Revealed!

When I saw the title, I got excited for Gengar-GX... Oh well, maybe next time! We have pokemon like Lycanroc, Bewear, and Alolan Ninetales with both. Also, Gengar-EX was a great card!~ Initial thoughts: Wobbuffet (GEN) Deals damage based off damage they've taken + slows down decks like...

Discussion Okay, Tapu Lele-GX's Price is Outrageous

If you're not willing to invest in Lele, I'm not sure how you're financially able to travel for events. and if you're not trying to compete in events... I'm not sure how you're claiming to be a serious player. Most players who play TCGs competitively, understand the commitment it takes. I used...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

I believe it would still heal 90. You're attaching one energy from your hand, while that energy provides 2 Colorless, you only attached an energy once.

    Standard Post Rotation Volcanion (BKT-BUS)

Okay... but you actually edited that part about Garbodor in. Haha. Which by the way, is an opinion, with very little basis. Especially since your deck list only has 2 less items than the average Volcanion list. Players have already been lowering their VS Seeker counts, due to the introduction of...

    Standard Post Rotation Volcanion (BKT-BUS)

I'm not misinformed on the popularity of Greninja. I stated a fact. Greninja is not consistent. Because of this, people don't like using it. Garbodor is consistent. Which is why people like using it. I'm not saying Greninja is bad or unpopular. I'm saying: Why am I teching for the less...

    Standard Post Rotation Volcanion (BKT-BUS)

Interesting observation... considering Gren has almost always been a "slow" deck. This is actually the reason why not a lot of people play Gren. It's just not very consistent. Lapras is another slow deck. Actually... the match-up is in Volcanion's favor, and the stadium doesn't really help you...

    Standard Post Rotation Volcanion (BKT-BUS)

It's surprisingly not excessive. I run 14 myself. If you think about how much energy this deck burns through, it's actually necessary. You need: Energy in hand for Steam-Ups. Energy in discard for acceleration. Energy attached for attacking. Almost all your attackers use/can use 3 attachments...

    Standard Post Rotation Volcanion (BKT-BUS)

BREAKpoint Staryu It's Free Retreat allows for more options in your play. Most notably: Using a switch card into Staryu, and then retreating into Volcanion-EX, allowing it to attack again.

    Standard Post Rotation Volcanion (BKT-BUS)

Volcanion player here, just wanted to share a bit of my opinion, and maybe answer some questions~ Honestly, I really like Skyla in this deck. This is why~ Skyla is a great tutor card, and sometimes, Volcanion needs specific options. High retreat costs + high attack costs... can get you into...

    Discussion Standard Meta Tier List

Did either of those lists make Top8? My point was, the deck isn't going to die because Shaymin leaves. It's dead, because of the current meta. I never liked the Sky Field version, personally. But that's a different story.
