Standard Milotic SM4/Tapu Koko SMP (Post SM4)

Ah... Celebi Promo Could Work! Instead of Grass, you can use rainbow energy, and that will allow Milotic to stay consistent.

    News 'CoroCoro' Confirms Necrozma Forms

Actually... I didn't expect this. I thought Necrozma would fuse as part of Solgaleo/Lunala. Instead, it's the other way around: Solgaleo/Lunala are fused into Necrozma. I.e.: The Assimilation process was the reverse of what thought it would be. :/

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

Let me think... A Milotic Stall deck: Lead with Tapu Koko for spread damage, then keep spamming Mercy with Milotic, while using hammers/disruptions as your opponent keeps having to reset everything to a point of decking out of resources. If the right support appears, that could be rather cruel.

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

Oh I'm laughing incredibly hard at the new Cincinno... Well, sure - many of these cards seem like filler, but at least the creators seem to have a sense of humor about some of them. ^.^

Now I want to play an rogue Escavalier deck, just because Carrablast's ability is absolutely hilarious! :P

    Standard Kingdra

For this deck, I have some Ideas: -Hoopa from Steam Siege can be a nice lead for your deck, as you can deal 20 damage to 2 pokemon of your choice with 1 meager energy. 130 HP means it can take hits from Golisopod-GX, and when Choice Banded, it can deal 100 damage to Espeon-GX at the start...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

The memories... Well, of the ones here, I thing the Fighting one could be quite good: It makes it so you can hit Drampa/Tauros GX, Darkrai, the new Raichu-GX, etc., for weakness - and do so without fear of weakness. Fighting decks have Garbodor and Golisopod discouraging their play, and having a...

Discussion People Say the Pokemon Community is Welcoming and Friendly but I've Not Had the Same Experience.

Hmm... My best advice for you is to consider all the competitive options in front of you, and do not tie yourself to just one deck. In that regard, if you have kept all your PTCG Online code cards, you should try that app out, as it allows you to keep multiple decklists at once. Either that, or...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

This is just me... I wish there was an ability that directly targets energy variable attacks, and nullifies all added damage from them. I say this because if it weren't for them, an unbelievable number of cards in this meta would be so much more viable. Instead, the creators somehow want to...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

Interesting... I have heard of a deck tactic getting popular, where a user plays Wicke after the opponent ends their turn with only a few cards left, just as a way to make them draw dead unexpectedly near the start of the game. That said, Wicke could be taken out via Lele-GX, so it's much more...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

About Mismagius... I'm very cautious about overselling any card in the game, and this one is no different. Let me carefully analyze the card: -110 HP: not too small, but not very bulky either. Can survive normal hits... It's okay. -Dark Weakness: Dark is still well supported in this format to...

Discussion Why the Ultrabeasts are Lackluster.

No one thought *any* of this when Lapras-GX came out. They just saw water box as a poor deck at the time, and that this card never made the deck much better. Again, think "hindsight": It took until someone created a strong deck around the card before people started to see it value. This will...

Discussion Why the Ultrabeasts are Lackluster.

No offense... But I'd rather wait until every card in the set is released and played before holding any judgment to the beasts. I say this because everyone tends to look too much at face value at first, void of context of how they really end up being played. One example: Lapras-GX At first, I...

News Ravaged Plains from SM4 Revealed!

Oh my... I really, really, really like this card. One of the most annoying mechanics in this game is prize cards. If a tech or other configurations are prized, it can pretty much ruin any game you play. I, and many people I've seen online rage-quit whenever multiple key cards are prized in an...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

I once made a silly rogue Deck, where I had all three Regi's as attackers and I used Parasect from Breakthrough to accelerate energy to all of them at once in a single turn... It flopped against Night March at the time. =/ On the other hand, this Registeel's synergy to Regice for a card effect...

News America's November Set: 'Crimson Invasion,' Two Ultra Beast Premium Collections!

Ugh... I sense with Nihilego-GX, a nasty bunch of strategies coming about. Fortunately, its attacks are high enough cost that it isn't quite the spammable card Lele is. Plus, running psychic can be a hazard, with Garbodor and other cards that exploit its weakness. But with Noivern-GX locking...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

If I were to use a stage 1 Fighting type, I'd definitely rather go for Crabominable from BUS. 140 HP, 80 for one energy, and the recoil is easily nullified.

    Discussion Aegislash Post-Rotation

I have been thinking... Lately, we have been getting very good spread damage basics, such as Tapu Koko and Necrozma-GX. It makes me wonder if this card could become more powerful as time goes on. Yes, it is a stage 2, and has a fairly high attack cost. But it could potentially fit into several...

News Palossand-GX, Latias, Hydreigon, Regigigas, Hiker Promos!

Unleashing the Gimmicks early, are they now? :D Superderp Sandcastle-Mon GX: I guess you could try pairing it with Carbing-BREAK for energy acceleration, but even then... Not that worth it. It's GX attack is quite hilarious - drain all the decked Pokemon to the discard pile, and potentially KO...
