Discussion Pokémon Search and Card-Draw Engine (Post-Rotation)

Right, you could still get them into your hand for effects that activate when they're put onto your hand onto the bench, like Dedenne-GX, Rayquaza-GX, etc. or like you said, search pokemon with bigger HP. I'll be honest, completely forgot about Pokemon Fan Club until now, though I've always...

Discussion Pokémon Search and Card-Draw Engine (Post-Rotation)

I always found myself using Professor Elm's Lecture for initial set up, esspecially now that Nest Ball and Ultra Ball are rotating making individual search for pokemon during turn 1 not nearly as reliable as the current format, even though we don't have Tapu Lele-GX to search out Elm's anymore...

    'Remix Bout,' Japan's July Set!

Eh, I'll still be nice to draw energy. Sure, it's a single card and it's only colorless energy, but in decks where the attacker takes one colorless energy to do the job (there shouldn't be too many examples that come off to mind, but there's gotta be at least a couple pokemon that can make use...

Round 7 Results, Table 213 @Holden Sheeks over @ProfPineTCG As he did not show up within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. I actually gave him much more time than usual but he wasn't there, so I'll just take the win. See you next tournament :)

Round 5 Results, Table 149 @Holden Sheeks 2-1 over @Serperior G1 - Seperior G2 - Holden G3 - Holden Wow.....that was like, the most unfortunate match I've ever seen of all the PokeBeach sets I've played. G1 I lead with a bad pokemon to lead with, then my opponent caught on to prizes, G2 he...

    Help Beating Baby Blacephalon

My personal advice would just be to find a good turn to Field Blower their Wishful Batons and play a Judge or SHL Marshadow. Shuffling their hand to 4 (while of course getting rid of their Heat Factory Prism Star as well as any other form of draw they're playing) with no backup attacker to...

Round 4 Results, Table 100 @Holden Sheeks over @TJKamper 2-0 Had a little bit of slow setup game 1 but I managed to get through with a pretty broken comeback. He had to concede past that unfortunately but that's acceptable. Good luck in the rest of the tournament :)

Help What Should I Play for USA Internationals?

I'm trying to ask myself the same question, and my current process is either wanting to play a top tier deck like Reshizard or Gardevoir / Sylveon, or maybe I'll have a rogue idea to come up with at the event. Either way, I'l just want to know what I'm doing with the deck and prepare for all...

    SM11 Miracle Twins!

Not with LOT Alolan Ninetales-GX. Sure you lose the Alolan Vulpix specifically from Guardians Rising but just find another source of Pokemon Search and you're good.

    SM11 Miracle Twins!

Dragonite-GX again, but a much better one at that. Combined with the baby Dragonite we saw earlier, all we would have to do to power up Sky Judgment is use the ability and then attach Triple Acceleration Energy to get an essentially free OHKO, and that right there is good OHKO damage, OHKOing...

Round 2 Results, Table 43 @Holden Sheeks over @snoopy369 2-0 GGs, the second game we played was a lot more intense. I had to think about that one hard after snipping my main threat. Good luck in the rest of the tournament :)

Round 1 Results, Table 19 @Gengar master over @Holden Sheeks 2-1 G1 - Gengar G2 - Holden G3 - Gengar Not gonna lie, thought it was gonna be a complete disaster for my deck but the match-up wasn't as awful as I thought it'd be. GGs and good luck in the rest of the tournament :)

    Help Beating Baby Blacephalon

Even then, they could just play Stealthy Hood to completely bypass Vileplume's effect. Obviously Wishful Baton is a much better and overall card to use for the general idea of this deck, but I just wanted to point that out if anyone decides to run it.

    SM11 Miracle Twins!

Cool, so it's kind of like LOT Alolan Ninetales-GX to search out support like Rare Candy and whatever else you need, except the search is more versatile and it can't get shut off by Glaceon-GX or Power Plant. Seems kind of weird to compare this to the best support we've had for stage 2 decks...
