Dragon and Dragon Frontiers came before the Dragon type was added to the TCG which is why I didn't mention them, but yes those two Gen 3 sets also had a lot of Dragon Pokemon.
Dragons Exalted and then Dragon Vault were the first Dragon type-focused sets, in 2012 (the previous year of the Dragon). Since then we had Roaring Skies in XY/2015, Dragon Majesty in SM/2018 which was 2018's "special set" and Evolving Skies in SWSH/2021.
Miraidon is SV148, but it's unlikely...
We haven't had the full Chikorita, Treecko, Snivy or Chespin lines since gens 6/7, but instead here's another Grookey?
We got no Spritzee and multiple Swirlix cards during SWSH but here's another of the latter??
Okay. Werk.
Some people use "baby" for non-rule box cards. This is the first one for Alakazam since gen 4 (Mysterious Treasures). Alakazam has had plenty of cards since, but they're gimmick cards like ex, LV. X, etc.
Chingling, Smoochum and Budew should be their top priorities; they are the three Pokemon in the entire series that have gone the longest without cards. The other babies got printed when they brought them back for 2 seconds during gen 7 (gen 8 for Pichu).
Sellers can list a card at whatever price they want, and then use alternate accounts to buy them up. Iron Leaves SIR is noticeably guilty of this - if you look at sales over the weekend, most of them were in the $50-60 range, and then suddenly one sold for nearly $250 and a couple more $150...
Thanks for nothing to all the investment bros on reddit who whined about how it was "too easy" to get the good pulls in last year's sets.
Doesn't help that TCGPlayer sellers have been up to their old nonsense to inflate Iron Leaves, Raging Bolt and Walking Wake's SIRs this weekend.
The Diamond and Pearl era ended 15 years ago, that is such a low bar and they still keep tripping over it (two Japanese sets in a row, one of them being a double set, with no babies again? We can get Totodile and Chimchar shoved in but not any of the neglected Grass starters? Primarina? No...
Hate that they're reusing so much artwork as "new cards" that have nothing else in common with the older existing cards.
Especially when they clearly don't mind making actual new artwork for the chase cards but aren't making physical copies of those (that we know of so far). Truly the worst of...
I've never played any of DeNa's Pokemon mobile games but Final Fantasy Record Keeper was one of the least predatory mobile games I've ever experienced.
Now if you want to talk about predatory mobile games, Niantic takes Gamefreak's incompetency and multiplies it by a million. And is openly...
