    Standard Energy Totem (Shining Genesect/Venusaur)

I'm not entirely against 1 promo Lurantis. I'd have to do the math but it should help you out with some numbers. One quick example though, if you have the energy on Genesect,Venusaur live, and a choice band you hit 200 damage. That's 10 short of a knockout on Ninetales.

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

Reporting, the regional went pretty rough for @DemonVamp but I attribute that more to a lack of experience than to the list itself. When I hear him talk about his games it seems like there were few were he got decently far but didn't have the knowledge necessary to close out the matches. We'll...
  3. CaptZero

Standard Tropical Totem (Alolan Exeggutor GX / Shining Genesect / Venusaur)

Playing a stage two and a stage three lines is tough to do, but honestly I really like the idea of Venusaur and A Exeggutor GX. With all the decks around that rely on benched pokemon it's really appealing to go for this kind of heavy bench snipe style.
  4. CaptZero

    Standard Energy Totem (Shining Genesect/Venusaur)

Considering you can only benefit from one venasaur at a time maybe thin the deck out there and add some more supporting Pokemon like Tapu Koko?
  5. CaptZero

    Standard Xurkitree GX

Delinquent is still in the format isn't it?
  6. CaptZero

Standard Halloween Massacre (Gorgeist SM4 / Klefki)

is there anything left in the format with ancient traits? double in particular. The biggest issue I see with the archetype is particular is I'm not sure if you can sustain through a 6 prize game with this. If you had a backup attacker like Salazzle maybe? It since you're paying colorless anyway...

News Japan's SM4+ Set: 'GX Battle Boost!'

Man the pokemon company chooses to represent these pokemon in the tcg in such a weird way... Xurkitree in the game is basically a sweeper with almost no supportive potential. This on the other hand could work wonderfully in a disruption type deck IMO. Blocking all damage from special energy...

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

It's not suddenly an auto loss just because I don't have that Giratina promo... Well you "trying to help" was incredibly unhelpful... And the more you do this... these one liners that add nothing to the conversation the more you move everything off topic. I'm NOT going to run around teching...

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

Ho-oh GX isn't weak to water... I'm trying not to be rude here man, but I'm looking for other people's input... Your input has been the least constructive in this thread so far, and that's including a guy who basically just said "AHHH to many 1-1 lines! No consistency! Too busy to properly analyze!"

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

So taking what people have said into account while making a few changes of my own I've come up with a new decklist for you guys and @DemonVamp to mull over: Pokemon 3 x Turtonator GX 2 x Ho-Oh GX 3 x Volcanion EX 1 x Volcanion 2 x Salazzle GX 2 x Salandit 1 x Starmie 1 x Staryu 2 x Tapu Lele GX...

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

As pointed out before its not just salazzle that deals with Jolteon, Shell Trap does too. With the changes another poster has suggested we are increasing the salazzle count as well as increasing the ho Oh count which helps against greninja

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

More techs equals less consistency. With some tweaks this deck has the tools necessary to play around most of what you've listed, aside from Ninetales. Just reiterating that you disagree isn't very constructive either. Duo has provided some great advice and made longer well reasoned arguments...

@Duo best advice. Thank you so much (poster is my younger brother). Getting a Salazzle in time might be tough. Also without Octillery what do you do about late game Ns?

Standard Advice on a Volcanion Deck Before Hartford Connecticut Regionals

You play around Gardy with Turtonator, Salazzle for Jolteon EX, and yes this deck isn't going to be winning against Ninetales decks. The only way around this I see it leaning more heavily into Ho-Oh which is weak to Gardy.

    Discussion Competitive Tier List

I'd be interested in seeing what list you run because smoothness has never been a problem for me when running Solgaleo. The biggest issues I've had come down mostly to my own poor deck tuning (too little energy too many extraneous one-off supporters.)
  17. CaptZero

Standard Buzzwole GX Rush (Anti-Evo Deck)

To be fair on of the reason Lando wouldn't be able to keep up is that to do any big OHKO damage you need to get rid of all of your energies. Buzzwole doesn't have that problem, and it's other "problem" of only being able to attack every other turn is easily patched with Silvally GX.

    Discussion Competitive Tier List

Where do people think Solgaleo/ Rayquaza fit in? Also I've seen a decent amount of talk regarding Magnezone and Pikachu EX but I haven't actually seen any decklists.
  19. CaptZero

Standard Buzzwole GX Rush (Anti-Evo Deck)

It was really good before those things though. It just got way better after Korrina and Fighting Stadium (and bats... LandoBats was my favorite deck)

News Japan's SM4+ Set: 'GX Battle Boost!'

I mean it could be worthwhile as a one of card in grass decks literally just for the auto win against greninja
