Discussion What Competitive Deck Requires the Most Skill?

Wailord for sure. Joking aside, all energy moving decks are really... different. I was going to say skill intensive, but realized that would look both like tooting my own horn and wouldn't be 100% correct. They do take a lot of skill, but it's usually more skill as in having to know every...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Reprints of old cards: Check. Lot's of random troll stuff: Check Power Creep: Check TPCi's flawless balancing abilities: Just as big a no as ever. I sense good times coming.

Discussion Garchomp, Garchomp, Garchomp, so many ways to run Garchomp! (AFEX Article 2: Garchomp Variants)

Personally, I dislike the LucChomp (ha, sounds similar to another deck we've seen before, doesn't it?) deck. It seems too clunky for me. Of course, part of my problem was that I don't have many cards that are good in Standard, and I was playing with a very crude list, but I still don't much like...

    Ruling Steam Up vs. Glaceon-GX

I would agree with Sheimeix and AuraJackle. The ability is completed, and the effect should stay in place. Also, I believe you still get the damage if you Acerola/AZ/Scoop Up the Volcacion. In fact, then you get to put it back down and use the ability again! There's a chance I'm wrong, but...

Discussion Funnest decks for blowing stuff up.

Nice. It's awesome how many random ideas are being pulled out of nowhere that somehow do way more damage than you would expect.

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

I wholeheartedly approve of this. My only qualm is that now the final part of the chain is going to be pricier, especially if this becomes competitive.

You too, man. That second game was close.

Discussion Funnest decks for blowing stuff up.

Nice. That sounds hilarious. Sadly, it's not the thread record, though. AuraJackle came up with (and then I added too) the idea of using Mew EX to copy a M Tyranitar EX on a Conkeldurr from Noble Victories that has a ton of energy on it and is at 10 hp, along with the Vileplume. I think the...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

TPCi seems to be getting into the mood of moving the opponent's energy. This seems like the perfect time to whip out the good ol' Furious Fists Sylveon/XY Wigglytuff lock deck. They'll never see it coming. And yes, I used to play this. It was beautiful. It's the ultimate noob stomper deck...

Truly beautiful. I don't know if I've ever hit for that much. I've hit over 600 a fair amount because of M Tyranitar, but that's a whole nother level.

Discussion And the last GX of Forbidden Light is...

I know it will probably never happen, but out of pure bias I need to say that Aromatisse is getting a GX soon. Aromatisse gets even less love than Goodra (*gasp). At least Goodra has the sleeves and stuff on the Pokemon center online strore. The only product with Aromatisse is a stinkin...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Ok, so the artwork is pretty nice. I still can't get over that they're naming a card, "Lady." I know it's a trainer type in the games, so it makes sense, but its just so funny. I love it. Good job TPCi, keep it up. Now I'm waiting for, "Swimmer," "Preschooler," and, "Hiker."

Discussion Side decking in PTCG; yay or nay?

I don't know about you guys, but, "Jank," decks are some of the funnest decks around in my opinion. They make the game a lot more exciting, since there are so many decks you could play.

Discussion Side decking in PTCG; yay or nay?

I think it would be both quite interesting and quite frustrating. It wouldn't necessarily make the game more skill based, just a different kind of skill. The beauty of player vs. player games is that, no matter how easy it is, it's that easy for your opponent too, so it isn't really easy at all...

I haven't played with them, personally, but I wouldn't expect anything spectacular. If they're ones with designs, they probably don't last very long.

My opponent, @Danglesmcjangles, decided not to play. Not sure what I'm supposed to do about that, so I'll open the conversation to you, PMJ, so you can see what he said. Good luck in any future tournaments, sorry you didn't get to play though this one.

New Mimikyu and Pikachu Promos in 'It's Mimikyu' Card Box Set!

Ok, people are talking about the cards, and that's great and all, but are we just going to ignore the really cool sleeve art and that coin? That coin is so cool. I would assume the bent Mimikyu is tails. I just hope they don't have the same problem as the coin from the XY collection box, where...
