    SM7a 'Fairy Rise' Announced!

I mean, it's not just Blower - any Stadium card (Brooklet Hill, Po Town, Mt. Coronet, to name a few) could be used to immediately counter it

    Standard (SUM-CST) Zoro/Cargo

Considering the combination of Zoroark and Magcargo can get you any card you want out of your deck, this strategy doesn't really need Lele for the mid to late game. The bigger question is whether it can consistently set up in the early game without Lele...

    Standard (SUM-CST) Zoro/Cargo

FWIW I'm not sure it's fair to be making CST lists this early, since we don't know any of the cards coming out of Charisma of the Wrecked Sky yet. Also, there's no telling what a SUM-on format would even look like. However, I'll give some of my thoughts with the assumption that no...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

You know, I'm a little surprised TCPi didn't just make Mysterious Treasure a rare Trainer too. Like, yeah go ahead, let's see how much we can jack the prices up on all these playable cards! Give TCPi all your muns!

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Has there ever been another case when a Regular and FA card release in the same set in Japan, but then only the Regular card makes into the subsequent English set? I know in the case of cards like Hau and Olivia, for example, the Regulars were part of the Japanese sets, and then their FAs were...

    SM7 'Celestial Storm' Revealed!

I'll have you know when I was your age, and Sandstorm Dunsparce first came out, it absolutely was a staple - one of the best starters in the game at the time Young whippersnappers, no respect for their history, yadda yadda In fact, Sandstorm-Dunsparce was so prevalent during the EX era, they...

Discussion Full Art Trainers (Past, Present, and Future)

Past: Teammates Present: Lillie-UPR Future: Zinnia Dream: Anabel (I'm legit surprised that she hasn't gotten a card yet)

Japan's SM6+ Set, 'Dragon Storm,' Plus 'Champion Road' Mini-Set!

I could potentially see Victini as another one-Prize attacker option in Volcanion - its attack has pretty good synergy with Steam Up, and it can be powered up quickly either through Power Heater or Max Elixir.

    SM7a 'Fairy Rise' Announced!

Hope everyone is looking forward to Super Hyper Ultra Gardevoir-GX, with Infinitier Force that does 50x all Energy in play, and New Moon GX that shuffles all cards from your discard pile and Lost Zone into your deck!! Oh, what whimsy!

    SM6b \'Champion Road\'

It’s true that Brigette would be better if this Dunsparce were to come out now, but when Brigette eventually rotates, this could become the next best way for Standard. Zoroark decks, for instance, wouldn’t mind playing a full set of Dunsparce, since you need to fill your Bench anyway. It could...

    SM6b \'Champion Road\'

All I’m saying is that there was nearly a two year space between the release of Generations and Shining Legends, so when Shining Legends hit, there were very few Generations products still on the shelves. In that case, there was virtually no competition between products selling the different...

    SM6b \'Champion Road\'

I think TCPi generally likes to space out their mini-sets, so there isn't any conflict in sales between products that sell only a particular mini-set (e.g. people might be less likely to buy Shining Legends products if there were another, perhaps more favorable mini-set available)

    SM6b \'Champion Road\'

From the booster box art, it seems extremely likely we'll get some kind of spiritual successor to Firestarter Blaziken and the Dunsparce from Sandstorm

Discussion English Forbidden Light Unofficial and partial Set list

Sort of out-there theory: could it be possible that our English set will get Masked Royal instead of Beast Ball? It would still add up to 15 Trainers, of course, and it would make everything fit between Beast Energy and FA Wake. I guess it might be a little weird to have eight Supporters in a...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

So... considering the Ultra Necrozma and Beast Energy placements, I'm pretty sure it's not possible for there to be 15 Trainers in this set. The only "negotiable" card I find between 95 and 117 is Beast Ball, but obviously if that's not in the English set, we're sitting at 14 Trainers.

'Charisma of the Wrecked Sky,' Japan's SM7 Set Announced!

They needed to reprint N in Fates Collide since there was no useful form of hand disruption without it, allowing overly aggressive strategies like Night March to sweep the game practically unchecked. Also, there were practically no other useful draw Supporters at the time, so most decks had to...

Japan's SM6+ Set, 'Dragon Storm,' Plus 'Champion Road' Mini-Set!

Even if it turns out to be not that good, I'm pretty pumped for a Zinnia card. I was hoping she would get some representation all the way back in Roaring Skies (what with all the Rayquaza hype in that set), but still - better late than never

And after I wrote this drawn-out post about how I thought Palkia and Dialga would be the final two GXs in our English set, now I get to eat my words lol
