'Battle Style' is March's Set, Introduces New Single Strike and Rapid Strike Cards!

This is pokemon. If you have a bad hand it's because you have a hand full of dead cards, not because you don't have a hand. It is too easy to draw cards in general to make Korinna worth it even with Octillery

'Battle Style' is March's Set, Introduces New Single Strike and Rapid Strike Cards!

No it will not. We've had this card before (Bianca) and it's not that good, especially without ultra ball to easily decrease hand size.

'Battle Style' is March's Set, Introduces New Single Strike and Rapid Strike Cards!

Thats not his point. The point is that to TPCi or the businesses selling the product the scalpers buying out all there stock is a success and thus doesn't need fixing. Why would they fix something that is giving them maximum profits?

'Battle Style' is March's Set, Introduces New Single Strike and Rapid Strike Cards!

most reprints have different art, just look at the various prints of rare candy or Switch. The alt art rule never was a hard rule about cards with alternate arts dont count but just a codified system for designating when cards don't extend a cards life in standard rotation

Discussion Prediction for the Next Meta

We aren't even close to knowing the whole set that's coming out. It's way too soon to make predictions for the meta

Six Cards Added to Japan's Expanded Ban List!

We're talking about expanded format. Some of the banned cards were in the game for years without issue before another card came along and made it broken. Almost every card on the banned list is broken because it has a combo with 1 or more cards and the combo is broken, not because either card is...

Help are special box cards avail in boosters?

Depends on the card. Zacian V can be found in Sword & Shield base set and Alakazam V is in Vivid Voltage but only as a secret rare full art variant. But often times promos are exclusive and can not be pulled from a booster set

Staff Promos for Prereleases Officially Discontinued After 'Vivid Voltage'

Generally speaking CCG companies operate under the premise that cards aren't monetarily worth more then the cardboard itself because then booster packs would be acts of gambling if they did acknowledge it etc. But the problem is probably less "staff promos sell for a lot" and more "staff are...

Oranguru, Shaymin-EX, Sableye, and Energy Grace Milotic Banned in the Expanded Format!

I can not make heads or tails of what you're "equation" is trying to say. This wall of text is very hard to read since you are nonstop disrupting every explanation with another explanation. But even without that the answer is no. TPCi aren't going to be aware of anything for expanded that ISN'T...

Oranguru, Shaymin-EX, Sableye, and Energy Grace Milotic Banned in the Expanded Format!

Of course people tried it since that was the obvious combo and someone experiments doing that with Missing Clover but those decks never ended up doing well.

Oranguru, Shaymin-EX, Sableye, and Energy Grace Milotic Banned in the Expanded Format!

No deck playing Oranguru actually utilized the fact the cards were place on the bottom of the deck (it's not like control decks were playing Looker or Fossils)

Discussion Does Pokémon TCG Need a Casual Format to "Compete" Against MTG in EDH / Commander?

@Lanstar Doesn't PTCGOne and Untap.in already fulfill that role? I guess it doesn't have the randomizer format but deck building is vastly more complicated then 6 random pre stated pokemon

Discussion Does Pokémon TCG Need a Casual Format to "Compete" Against MTG in EDH / Commander?

I for one love having alternate formats in games. They are great for variety and expanding the value of your collection by allowing more diverse play compared to competitive formats. I'm actually toying with an alternate format for PTCG right now (but with COVID I haven't been able to actually...

Fun If you were to change one fundamental rule of the PTCG, what would it be?

Personly I think a more elegant set up procedure would be to draw 13 cards and pick 6 of them to be your prizes and keep the remaining 7 as your starting hand. This just does a lot that is good for the game. Not only does greatly reduce bricking and removes the complete rng of prizes it adds to...

'Shocking Volt Tackle,' Japan's September Set!

@AshCo As far as I can tell the increase in secret rares hasn't had any adverse effect on the second hand market. Which makes sense because supply going down doesn't not automatically increase prices. Modern sets are still printed in such high quantities that there is plenty of supply for the...

'Shocking Volt Tackle,' Japan's September Set!

Well I'm all player and 0% collector so to me more secret rares means more chances that cards I like to play get a gold or full art to bling my deck with
