SM5+ 'Ultra Force' Releasing in January!

Yeah, it would be weird if all these alternative type cards were printed in our SM6, because they would just feel lumped in. I could see them being blister promos. I think it would be cool if they released some kind of promo box that had them all in it.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

Let's be practical here. When is anybody ever going to have 4 Dartix and a Wimpod on their bench at the same time? You would have to draw the perfect hands while your opponent dead drew multiple turns in a row to not disrupt you. I think Leafeon's GX attack is amazing, and I'm sure people will...

    Looking for $150 deck

Based off of past rotations, Breakthrough should've rotated but they didn't want to split the Break sets up. So rotation should've been: Primal Clash, Double Crisis, Roaring Skies, Ancient Origins, Breakthrough And then that would mean this year's rotation would've been: Breakpoint...

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

The Energy Evolution Eevee was printed in Sun and Moon base set, meaning that it'll survive rotation this year and be available next year. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. The earliest it will rotate out will be September of 2019, and that's if it's not reprinted again before that.

Help Gardevoir GX in the new set?

A lot of people think that Gardevoir GX will drop from it's Tier 1 status when Ultra Prism releases, and I don't think that it will. It will initially see a dip in play because people will anticipate more Metal decks, but the only Metal deck coming out of Ultra Prism that looks viable is Dusk...

Help Gardevoir GX in the new set?

Here is the list that took 9th at the Memphsis Regionals a few weeks ago. It looks like it's a combination of the Sylveon GX variant and the "Brokenvoir" build. Pokemon - 20 4 Ralts BKT 100 2 Kirlia BKT 69 3 Gardevoir-GX BUS 93 2 Gallade BKT 84 3 Tapu Lele-GX GRI 60 1 Remoraid BKT 32 1...

Help Gardevoir GX in the new set?

Because it'll be the first Regional where a new set is legal, everyone will be going into it unsure of how the Meta will look. My advice is to play something you're comfortable with, because a good player that's using a deck that he or she is comfortable with is better than a good player that's...

    Help Are these cards good?

A common issue as to why none of these see play is because they are not consistent. Misty's Determination MIGHT give you one card you need, you MIGHT draw a card you need with Maintenance, Great Ball MIGHT get you the Pokémon you're looking for. Every card listed here has a better, more optimal...

    Looking for $150 deck

There's no way to build a Standard deck today and have that same 60-card deck be viable after next rotation. A number of cards like Professor Sycamore and N will be rotating out of Standard after Worlds this year (which isn't until August so we have a lot of time until then). I still recommend...

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

I mean, every deck has a weakness. Glaceon GX can set up a lot faster than Solgaleo GX and can take a big OHKO with it's GX attack. Plus, a Turn 1 active Glaceon GX that shuts down your ability to play Tapu Lele for Brigette to set up can be a big setback from the start of the game. Pair it with...

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

Both are great, but Glaceon is insane. I want to try a Glaceon GX/Zoroark GX deck.

SM5+ 'Ultra Force' Releasing in January!

You mean Raichu GX I'm assuming. If so, Buzzwole GX and Lycanroc GX say hello. ;) I really like Raichu GX but it came out at the wrong time, competitively speaking. With that said, I like how they're releasing more and more alternative typing reprints. It gives players more options, which is...

Expanded Deck Build (Newbie Needs Advice)

I would look at decks that have placed well at recent tournaments. I use limitlesstcg.com after big tournaments to see what was played. Night March and Zoroark variants are the top decks in Expanded at the moment. I think investing in Zoroark GX is a good idea because there are a number of decks...

SM5+ 'Ultra Force' Releasing in January!

I think the Water version is still superior, having access to the new Crasher Wake Supporter and Aqua Patch. Plus, a weakness to Lightning is way better than Fire in our current format. If you're running the Steel variant, it might be neat to run one copy of the Water-type along with Counter...

    News 'Lucario-GX Box' in February!

So the Zoroark GX box doesn't have a competitive card or isn't used? Or the Ultra Beast boxes with Buzzwole GX, Xurkitree GX, and Celesteela GX? Or the Silvally GX one? And those are just the ones that have been released recently.

    News 'Lucario-GX Box' in February!

It felt a bit underwhelming at first, but I think this has more going for it than I initially thought. Fighting-types have the bonus of being able to boost their damage more than any other type at the moment, thanks to Strong Energy and Regirock EX, and that's before factoring in Choice Band...

    Expanded Seismitoad EX/Zoroark GX

Here's a Seismitoad EX/Zoroark GX deck I put together and would like some feedback on, as I feel like it could be a great archetype in the Expanded format. The general idea here is to start with Seismitoad EX and Quaking Punch your opponent, while also adding damage with Hypnotoxic Laser and...

Help Which deck for first Regionals?

Always play a deck that you're comfortable with. I think Golisopod/Garbodor is a great choice, and seeing as how the deck recently came in second at the largest Regional to date, it's still a very viable archetype in the format.

Standard Post-ULP Dusk Mane Necrozma/Magnezone deck

Yeah, consistency is key. The deck doesn't need a lot of techs because once it's set up, it's OHKOing almost everything. The new Frying Pan tool might be good in this deck, giving your DM Necrozma more bulk and no weakness.

Standard Post-ULP Dusk Mane Necrozma/Magnezone deck

Since this deck completely relies on getting Magnezone set up, I recommend keeping the 3-1-3 line with the four Rare Candy. The fourth Candy might not be needed, but I think it's worth the space. I would cut the Cyrus Prism Star for a second Skyla, purely for consistency. Other than that, I...
