    Standard Garchomp

Except Puzzle of Time allows you to grab a Cynthia AND something else and add it directly to your hand (DCE, Counter Catcher, whatever you might need). I'm not saying Pal Pad is bad, I just haven't needed it since running Puzzle of Time. I've been able to get Cynthia when needed and can be a bit...

Discussion Do you think Lapras-GX can make a return this format?

As long as Golisopod-GX is relevant in this format, Lapras-GX will not be a great option. I love Lapras and you'll get some wins, but I don't think it'll top any events anytime soon.

    Discussion Lamborghini of Fire Decks

Depending on how big Glaceon-GX becomes, I'd say Fire-type decks could possibly be shifting away from Volcanion-EX and focusing more on Ho-Oh, Turtonator, and Salazzle.

    Discussion Glaceon GX/Leafeon GX?

How would that get you early Prizes? Neither Pokemon has an overwhelming physical presence and neither really has synergy with the other.

    Discussion Best Bo1 Deck?

There's another ARG tournament near me this weekend and I'm considering going. Their Swiss rounds are Best-of-One so my approach has to be a bit different as opposed to going to a regular tournament. What deck do you think is best in a Best-of-One format?
  6. HouchinsDJ

    Standard Garchomp

Lucario allows you to search your deck for any card so getting two Puzzle of Time in hand isn't too difficult once you're set up.
  7. HouchinsDJ

    Standard Garchomp

The thing about why I chose Puzzle of Time over Pal Pad though is because you don't even need Lucario on the field to get Cynthia from your discard to your hand. So if your opponent goes after your Lucario (which they should do if they're smart), you still have a way to get Cynthia back. I still...

    Standard Garchomp

Like Platinum said, there's no point in including Strong Energy at the moment because our main attacker can't use it. Lusamine is too slow and outclassed by Pal Pad. I've considered one Pal Pad but haven't had any issues getting Cynthia when needed between Lucario and Puzzle of Time. If I start...

    Standard Garchomp

I've been having fun playing this Garchomp deck online and figured I'd post it here for feedback. Outside of being a bit clunky at times, which is something I'd expect from a Stage 2 deck that uses a Stage 1 as support, the deck runs pretty well. I do not run Pal Pad, which I'm sure people will...

Standard I Need Help With My Garchomp/Lucario Deck

T1 Brigette with a Fighting Energy/DCE and a draw Supporter in hand for your next turn.
  11. HouchinsDJ

    Standard Dusk Mane Necrozma-GX/Magnezone

You need that extra draw power, especially late-game. If you get hit with N and only have one or two Prizes left, you could very well be in top deck mode which is never good.

    Standard Dusk Mane Necrozma-GX/Magnezone

Thanks! Do you mind sharing your list? I'd like to take a look at it!

    Standard Dusk Mane Necrozma-GX/Magnezone

Thanks for the feedback! I actually posted a new, updated thread yesterday so the lists posted in here aren't 100% accurate, but overall it's similar. I like the Magnemite suggestion. I do like the ability of the new one though, especially because of how big Buzzwole is at the moment. I'll...

    Standard Empoleon Deck Feedback

So I've been running 8 Water Energy and 2 Counter Energy and it's been really nice. This deck tends to go down in Prizes early while you're setting up so being able to slap down a Counter Energy is huge.

    Standard Empoleon Deck Feedback

I've been playing Empoleon online all day and it's a lot of fun! I run one copy of Lapras-GX because it's first attack makes it a great opener and it's second attack hits for 190 damage with a Choice Band which is relevant. If your opponent is limiting their bench on purpose to avoid getting...

Standard Updated Dusk Mane Necrozma-GX/Magnezone List

Choice Band might seem like overkill since Meteor Tempest is already hitting for 220, but I need to have a way to OHKO Decidueye-GX, Metagross-GX, and Solgaleo-GX. Depending on how the Meta shapes once Ultra Prism has been out for a bit, this might not be relevant, but it also allows Solgaleo...

Standard Updated Dusk Mane Necrozma-GX/Magnezone List

After playing this deck online all weekend and taking it to my local league yesterday, I made some changes to my list. Based on my experience with the deck, I believe this list is incredibly strong and can win against almost any deck in the format (haven't played against Volcanion yet, but I'm...

Discussion Don't be surprised if Metal falls flat

I've played against a few Garchomp/Lucario decks and it can be a tough matchup, but winnable. I haven't kept track but I'd say I'm around 50/50 against them. DM Necrozma only has to worry about getting Magnezone set up while Garchomp (a Stage 2) also needs Lucario (a Stage 1). There's obviously...

Discussion Don't be surprised if Metal falls flat

If you add mine, Gekki's, and Lannden's records together, we're 28-4 collectively. That's gotta count for something, right!? :D In all seriousness, that's fair. I do plan on playing as many games as possible with it!

Discussion Don't be surprised if Metal falls flat

Our lists are very similar. Have you had issues with running three Brigette? I run two myself and I thought about a third copy, but felt that I'd be drawing into it when I didn't need it. I also run a second Professor's Letter and 12 Metal Energy. 10 seems a little low for me!
