    Discussion Buzzwole/Lycanroc LC Report

So I went to a League Cup yesterday and played my Buzzwole-GX/Lycanroc-GX deck that did very well at last week's ARG tournament. The only change I made to the list was swapping Zygarde-EX for a Sudowoodo. I like the versatility of Watch and Learn, and I felt that it would be helpful against...

SM5+ 'Ultra Force' Releasing in January!

Too bad we're not getting this alternate type in Ultra Prism! Garchomp is something I'm definitely going to playtest.

    Standard Buzzwole Garb for Oceania

    I really like your list! I came up and played with a Buzzwole/Garbodor deck online and went on a 20-game win streak. My list is a bit different though. ****** Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck List ****** ##Pokémon - 12 * 3 Buzzwole-GX CIN 104 * 1 Zygarde-EX FCO 54 * 1 Espeon-EX BKP 117 * 3 Tapu...

A Whole New World — An Introduction to the Expanded Format

I recently starting playing Expanded more, mainly because there's a Regional I want to go to in March and it's Expanded, and I gotta say that it's really fun. It was a bit overwhelming to get into at first because I wasn't familiar with all the archetypes, but now I feel like I have a pretty...

Help Advice for a League Cup

I think Jirachi EX is fine since it accomplishes the same thing Tapu Lele does. It just has the downside of only having 90HP so you have to be careful with it. As an alternative, you can run a 3-3 Zoroark line instead. Most NM lists I've seen run 2-3 Shaymin EX. Since it looks like you only...

Discussion What is the "Best" Deck in Format?

Gardevoir has already been demoted to Tier 3 (according to Some1sPC League Cup Meta Snapshot for the month of December) and it has had nothing to do with the upcoming release of Ultra Prism. The rise of Zoroark/Lycanroc, along with other decks like Zoroark/Golisopod and Buzzwole/Lycanroc simply...

Standard Updated Buzzwole-GX/Lycanroc-GX List for League Cup

I did put the fourth Professor Sycamore and N back in, I need to update my initial list! I actually like the Lillie suggestion, seeing as how this deck doesn't have a designated Turn 1 Supporter, but I'd have to remove a Sycamore or N and I already tried running three of each and went back to...

Standard Updated Buzzwole-GX/Lycanroc-GX List for League Cup

I like the utility of Rescue Stretcher. If I have a Rockruff on my bench and both Lycanroc in the discard, I can Rescue Stretcher for a Lycanroc and pull something up for a big KO, or I can grab an Octillery if needed. As much as I would like to squeeze in a Field Blower, I do think this deck...

Standard Updated Buzzwole-GX/Lycanroc-GX List for League Cup

That's a good point. I'll add the Sycamore and N back in. As much as I love Multi Switch, you're right. I think adding the 10th Energy to help Max Elixir's consistency is more important. Thanks for the help!

Standard Updated Buzzwole-GX/Lycanroc-GX List for League Cup

I'm going to a League Cup this weekend and plan on taking an updated Buzzwole-GX/Lycanroc-GX list that I used to finish fourth place at the ARG Circuit Series last weekend. I posted about my experience over in the PTCG Competitive Play forum earlier this week so go and take a look at that if...

Standard Solgaleo GX gor league cup

I would definitely expect Buzzwole GX. I think Mr. Mime would be better than Registeel for that reason alone. If you struggle to set up quickly, Jet Punch will pick off your Cosmog. You listed Rayquaza from Shining Legends, but did you mean Rayquaza from Guardians Rising? The GRI Rayquaza helps...

Discussion Is Giratina EX primed for a revival in expanded?

I think we'll see some Giratina/Seismitoad lists pop up at Dallas Regionals later this month. There seems to be a lot of hype around it right now because of how many decks rely on Special Energy. As to whether it'll see success or not is unknown at the moment though.

Expanded Dogs (Lycanroc and Zoroark) with an extra dog (Ninetales)

Fair enough! I like having access to Lycanroc's GX attack since you're playing Sky Field and your opponent will most likely have a decent sized bench. Plus, it can OHKO other Zoroark without you having to worry about filling your bench up with Sky Field and having a Choice Band.

Standard Goli Garb for my first regionals

This is just Azul's list from Memphis, right? I have tested this deck a bit, as I think Golisopod is in a good spot at the moment, competitively speaking. It does have it's issues though, as pointed out by @FlavorfulPineApl. A late-game N can completely ruin you, and there's no draw support...

Standard Friggin' Geotech System (Meta GX/Lele GX/Zoroark GX)

-1 Oranguru +1 Alolan Vulpix Alolan Vulpix is amazing early game for grabbing Metagross pieces and it's easy to get into the active turn one by manually retreating your active after attaching to it. You want Energy in the discard anyways, so it's a plus. If you start with it, then even better...

Expanded Dogs (Lycanroc and Zoroark) with an extra dog (Ninetales)

I would run both. Here's all the changes I'd make to your list. Pokémon: 23 4 Zorua 4 Zoroark GX 1 Zoroark BKT 1 Zoroark (BW Base Set) 3 Rockruff 3 Lycanroc GX 2 Shaymin EX 2 Tapu Lele GX 2 Exeggcute (Propagate) 1 Sudowoodo GRI (Counters opposing Zoroark GX decks by shrinking their bench and...

Expanded Dogs (Lycanroc and Zoroark) with an extra dog (Ninetales)

You have 15 Items in your deck as the moment, 2 more VS Seeker isn't going to make too much of a difference against a late-game Trashalanche. Mallow is great but situational. A lot of time, because of the sheer draw power of Zoroark, you can get what you need in hand without it. That's just my...

Expanded Dogs (Lycanroc and Zoroark) with an extra dog (Ninetales)

For your Support counts, I would do something like the following: 3 Sycamore 2 Colress 1 N 1 Lysandre 1 Guzma 1 Hex Maniac 1 Mallow 1 Ghetsis (optional, but I really like how disruptive it can be Turn 1 against Night March) Running 4 VS Seeker allows you to run more 1-of Supporters.

Expanded Dogs (Lycanroc and Zoroark) with an extra dog (Ninetales)

If you don't run Alolan Muk then I highly recommend running a copy of Hex Maniac. Like I said, you need a way around Sudowoodo, even if it's just for a turn. I think you should run Puzzles AND increase your VS Seeker count. Both are so important because they allow you to be super aggressive...

Event Seismitoad Giratina for Dallas Regionals

Does anyone have a Seismitoad/Giratina list? I've noticed that it's been getting hyped but can't find a viable list without going through a paywall. I think it sounds very strong though, and if it has a good showing at Dallas, it could shake up how people build their decks moving forward.
