    - I actually pulled very well, netting a holo Dondozo, Magnezone ex, and full art Miriam (which I played in my deck and then sold for $80 to somebody really desperate), and played the Dondozo and Miriam in my deck. I ended up playing Vivillon/Tatsugiri/Dondozo, which is probably the best deck...

    - Three of the four prebuilt decks seemed very good and about the same level as each other. I got the Revavroom one, which gives you access to several Tatsugiri/Dondozo as while as format breaker Vivillon, while the Pawmot and Quaquaval ones are slower, but very self-contained and playable out...

In order: - I find lower power level formats significantly more fun both from a deckbuilding and playing perspective, as it broadens the pool of playable cards and combos significantly. the big pushed multiprizers mostly being evolutions again also really helps, as you can't just load up on one...

Pokemon Judge Receives Lifetime Ban Following Harassment of Transgender Players at Tournament

Excellent. I hope such decisive action sets a precedent for future events. Bigotry has no place in this world. Perhaps, if we're lucky, those in this very thread who think otherwise will get banned here as well.

Contest March 2023 CaC: Synergy: Stage 2 (All Results Up!)

In for text, please. I would like a SWSH era card.

Contest January 2023 CaC: New Year, New Type II (All Results Up!)

I'd thought I'd posted it in my initial post, but I'd made Mew into a normal type as it's the common ancestor of all Pokemon, and therefore probably was normal type at some point in its evolutionary history.

Contest January 2023 CaC: New Year, New Type II (All Results Up!)

This has been a difficult month timewise for me, so allow me to present an abridged entry.

Contest January 2023 CaC: New Year, New Type II (All Results Up!)

I more meant giving it ice weaknesses on a water card, but that really does feel like splitting hairs, doesn't it?
  12. Falling Skies

Contest January 2023 CaC: New Year, New Type II (All Results Up!)

Would making something like an ice-type gyarados count? or does that go against the spirit of the competition?

Contest November 2022 CaC: Scarlet & Violet (All Results Up!)

It's tough not to be a little disappointed at being a single point off of a perfect. I'm sure I knew that Jumpluff existed at some point, but even when reading the review I had to go look at the card to get an idea of what you were talking about. Such is life. I do thank you for the high praise...

Contest The Fakers' Marathon 5 - 1,116 points!

I think I alluded to this in the last CaC, but the Aurorus was part of a duo, and I actually like this card much more, but I wasn't brave enough to enter a fossil that wants to be in the active spot and actually attacking. I think the basis of this card is really neat, the damage boost is in the...

Contest The Fakers' Marathon 5 - 1,116 points!

Not putting a true once per turn on this ability is very wrong, but since it's not a CaC I can lean into more broken cards that I'd never dream of making otherwise. This is also very strong, although thematically it makes sense. Piers is unable to dynamax, and thus has to punch up really hard...

More Revealed About Wiglett, the Garden Eel Pokemon

I love the idea of convergent evolution being represented in Pokemon. I wonder if Wiglett is also a case of Batesian Mimicry. Maybe it evolved to look like the ground-type Diglett so nobody would use electric attacks on it?
