does the wii u even have the processing power to emulate 3ds games, esp. when it's a totally different hardware architecture and it has to be rendered in HD to not look like upscaled 480p garbage? I doubt they'd make 3ds hardware to physically attach to the console like the gamecube gameboy...

I was just thinking that. With Snake's chances of returning looking iffy, the soldier from AW is a possibility for a character who plays similarly. If a Battalion Wars or AW is planned for the Wii U or 3DS it would make sense, too. I don't actually mind any of the character inclusions so far...
