I think nicknaming is cool if people actually give the pokemon good names. I don't personally, though, because I wouldn't be good at it...

Since when does the city have to match the gym's type?

I don't even care about having a dark-type gym as much as I do a fire-type one. What would make it even better is if it was the eight gym... or have a fire-type specialist in the E4 once again. That would be awesome and leaves the eight gym open for a dark leader. Seeing as how many dark types...
