BW/BW2 The Future Games Speculation Thread

I would definitely prefer doing it through a video game so I don't have to spend so much. Mewtwo EX by himself--just one--costs more than the 3DS game would. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online was a very nice attempt, but really, it nickel and dimes just as much as the real TCG does, if not...

BW/BW2 Looking for Zekrom Level 9 and under!?

RE: Looking for Zekrom level 9 and under! I had the feeling this was the case. The cloning glitch was possible all throughout Generation 4, and the people who'd do it then are used to it. So they try it here, find that it doesn't work, and try it again, the thought that the glitch has been...

    2013 rotation

Heh, and Heavy Ball will be able to search for a lot of the rest of the cards, namely most Legendary Pokémon, a good chunk of the EX cards, and bulky evolved Pokémon like Emboar and Aggron. The only cards left out would be Pokémon with more than 90 HP and a retreat cost of less than 3, which I...

Pokemon Pokemon Style Changing, Good Or Bad

I remember that chubby Pikachu. Looking at Atsuko Nishida's own drawings of Pikachu though, it looks like the official art is actually coming closer to how she had intended. (Contrary to belief, Nishida is Pikachu's original designer, not Ken Sugimori. Sugimori just redrew Pikachu for the...

    Pokemon Pokemon Toys & Accessories

Does anybody know if the Heatmor plush is out yet? Or if there's a good quality Flygon plush?

Deus: Nightmare Autarch, rest assured that I will come up with something even weirder for next year.

    (1) BW5 'Dragon Blade' and 'Dragon Blast' Scans! [3/14]

A third option would be to give Pokémon-EX an exemption to the Take Out attack or have it do a different effect, such as if it knocks out a Pokémon-EX that you only take 1 Prize card. Back in the 3rd-generation sets, Pokémon-ex had a lot of exemptions too, (though most of the cards with them...

    (2) 'Dark Explorers' Images, Clearer Box Art of 'Black 2' and 'White 2' [3/15]

I figured the red is from Reshiram having red fire and the blue is from Zekrom having blue electricity. Nothing less, nothing more.

Deus: Nightmare Autarch, It was a very fun day--I probably should've mentioned that we normally leave right before top cuts begin, since there's no point being there any longer. (Especially with the 9 rounds.)

    (2) 'Dark Explorers' Images, Clearer Box Art of 'Black 2' and 'White 2' [3/15]

Aw, darn it, the boring Reshiram and Zekrom coins they've been releasing for everything. Woudl it kill them to have some variety? Maybe a Darkrai coin or a Zoroark coin with it?

    (1) BW5 'Dragon Blade' and 'Dragon Blast' Scans! [3/14]

I just noticed that Ampharos is illustrated by Hajime Kusajima. Normally, he's not that notable as an illustrator besides his use of unusual shading colors, but he lives in the Sendai area and had to be evacuated due to the tsunami last year. I'm glad that he's back to normal and doing what he...

    (2) ‘Pokemon Smash’ Announcing a New Game, New Movie 15th Poster: Two Kyurem Formes, Meloetta Reveal

Shedinja is counted as a separate Pokémon from Nincada. It's not like in the TCG where it evolves from it.

    (2) Meloetta Distribution, 'CoroCoro' Leaks, New BW2 and Keldeo Distribution Details [3/12]

That was an outside-of-battle effect though, so there was no need to worry baout it playing head to head. I think that either Kyurem will keep Pressure as its ability or switch to Teravolt or Turboblaze depending on whose energy it's acquired. As Kyurem is something of a parasite, I wonder if...

    (1) BW5 'Dragon Blade' and 'Dragon Blast' Scans! [3/14]

I remember Cessation Crystal--it's what made the deck I made based on Pokémon Tools work really well. Combined with Mysterious Shard anyway. That being said, we also need a Mysterious Shard equivalent (that can't be attached onto Pokémon-EX, like the original one was like). Even having one in...

    (1) BW5 'Dragon Blade' and 'Dragon Blast' Scans! [3/14]

Does anybody know where that Jumpluff card is set? All the others I can either determine (most are in Opelucid City, Dragonspiral Tower, or N's Castle), or they're really generic (like Gothita in a darkened room), but that structure in the background for Jumpluff looks way too specific not to be...

That would create problems in head-to-head play with Black/White 1 though.

    Top cut limit

California is pretty used to it. It's been pushing 250 for Masters for a while now, and we only have a Top 16 as well. If you get into any top cuts in California States or Regionals, it's a big deal.

    (2) BW5 Shedinja and Garbodor, Keldeo Battle Strength Deck + Beginning Set [3/13]

That Shedinja would be funny with Rocky Helmet, by the way. Knocking Out Shedinja won't allow your opponent any progress, and their Active Pokémon gets 2 damage counters instead. Not as effective as the Cursed Powder strategy, but still deliciously annoying.

    (2) BW5 Shedinja and Garbodor, Keldeo Battle Strength Deck + Beginning Set [3/13]

Garbodor's Ability only works on other Abilities, not Item cards. (Unless you got Junk Arm from the discard pile through some ability.) That Shedinja is really similar to that one in the 3rd generation where people would attach Curse Powder to it and dared the opponent to knock it out. That was...

    (2) BW5 Shedinja and Garbodor, Keldeo Battle Strength Deck + Beginning Set [3/13]

I'm glad they didn't just use the standar Sugimori art with Keldeo the way they do much of the time new Legendary Pokémon are introduced into the TCG. It's stil Ryo Ueda, who along with Masakazu Fukuda does like half the cards, but it's way better than the generic illustrations Sugimori uses for...
