DNA, nah, it isn't--the etymology of the word "logarithm" is totally different from "rhythm." "Rhythm" comes from the Latin ruthmos, meaning "to flow." The latter part of "logarithm" comes from Grek arithmos, meaning "number" (the same root word as "arithmetic"). It's just a coincidence.

I was a bit confused with the "[G]" on Giratina's attacks. I'm used to Giratina being portrayed with Ghost-type properties in the TCG, so I thought this was a new Ghost-type energy too.
