No Rarity cards were just the "1st Edition" of the Japanese Base Set. They were not recalled for destruction or anything, but they were just released in small numbers. They are very rare, and have only recently begun hitting the ebay market. Your Charizard is very rare. Congrats :)

I just sold my PSA 10 Japanese Rayquaza Gold Star for $105. It was a Best Offer, and I needed the money so I accepted it, but the card is worth a bit more.

How do you guys think we should go about the Misc. promos? Should each "set" (ex. Pokemon Day) get its own list, or should it be one big list organized by release date?

The market for everything, even non-Pokemon stuff, usually works like that. Really low prices up until Christmas, and the price spikes afterwards. This probably isn't the "official" reason, but it's my reason: Prices go down before Christmas because of the nature of competition: the better deal...
