RE: Pokemon black friday deals? There are a lot of online companies that run Black Friday deals. Like elam said, Troll and Toad has some. But you can also go to sites such as dacardworld to find good deals on sealed stuff for Black Friday.

RE: Pokemon Illustrator I agree and disagree with this. There are a lot of cards that are bad investments, but at the same time, there are a ton of good cards that are good, and even great, investments. You just have to be smart about things. And not all WoTC sealed products are good...

I feel the same way you do about this. I find it very boring that the metagame is just a few deck types. That's why I've chosen to primarily play a rougue deck. I'm in the process of building my own :D
