Discussion What happened to Gengar / Trevenant / Wally?

Not that I've done particularly extensive testing of it, but after playing with it a little bit, it's definitely a pretty low damage output and it misses being able to 2HKO EXs. It's not terrible, but it's not all that hard to overpower even under item lock.

Discussion What happened to Gengar / Trevenant / Wally?

I think I agree - straight Trevenant with a couple of Weakness Policy sounds like something that could be worth a try. Probably better once the BREAK and Ascention Phantump come out too.

    Standard M Manectric EX/ Delphox

Definitely this. 4 cards deeper you can look for Rare Candy, Ultra Ball for Delphox, etc. I find Trainers' Mail to be huge for stage-2 decks. Also, since you have Delphox which eliminates the downside to Birch once it's in play, I'd play those over Shauna. You should probably be using Sycamore...

    Alt. Format Future: Ho-Oh EX

Yep, it needs some kind of energy acceleration. Volcarona - stage 1. need Wally to start setting up Ho-oh first turn, and you have to use your first attachment on it. can make use of your Fire Energy in a pinch, but the attack is bad. can start attacking with Ho-oh on T2 if everything goes...

Discussion What happened to Gengar / Trevenant / Wally?

Dark-type weakness. The deck is solid and has good matchups against a lot of things, but ... it can't beat Yveltal or anything that techs Zoroark.

Discussion Best Stage 2 Deck Engine?

Unless it's a Water, Fighting, or Grass type you're going to have trouble. Something like Magnezone could be good enough to try anyway and you'll be a little less consistent but also harder to beat when you do get set up. What I will say below is from my experience with Magnezone/Raikou. 4...

TCG Fakes Mountain View (A Text-Based TCG Reboot Set) (57.27%)

haha, indeed it does say Active. yeah, it would be very overpowered otherwise, I agree. I may change it yet as I do agree that preventing energy attachments is a bit of an unfun effect. Another thing I was considering is having it shut off Abilities and Tools for each player's Active Pokémon...

TCG Fakes Mountain View (A Text-Based TCG Reboot Set) (57.27%)

I could change it to just Special Energy (although in my format that would only affect DCE) ... I like the idea of "freezing" the active Pokemon out of energy. A couple of things to consider... in my format, there are no Item cards for energy discard (or acceleration for that matter). The energy...

TCG Fakes Mountain View (A Text-Based TCG Reboot Set) (57.27%)

Thanks for the comments bbninjas. I may end up going back to change some of them in the future if I come up with any good ideas for them. ------------------------------- Here are the five Stadium cards of the set! I wanted to stay away from Stadiums (and Trainer cards in general) that only...

The Haxorus line and a few trainers: These are the 4 common trainers in the set. They are basically reprints except for a bit of a change to Poke Ball.

Other than the wrong ability on Wormadam trash cloak, looks pretty cool! Nice work Reggie Here are the next 6 cards; three 2-stage lines:

TCG Fakes Mountain View (A Text-Based TCG Reboot Set) (57.27%)

Fair comment - I definitely did use a lot of Abilities when making this set. I think the cards I have chosen to show so far over-represent that a little bit with Abilities on all but 4 of the non-Mega Pokemon, but even still, there are a unrealistically high number of Abilities. I do like when...

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

You can use Team Aqua's Muk / Team Aqua's Secret Base to add damage to Footprints of the Heard (with Secret Base you'd obviously not be able to use the attack through Mamoswine and have to use Piloswine as an attacker, but that might not be so bad) But like, Piloswine with Strong Energy and a...

    Standard Yanmega / Eevolutions

I assume the point is to expose Pachirisu instead of Yanmega in between attacks. But yeah, it's probably not worth the effort as it's easy to erase the effect, you are using an energy attachment on Pachirisu, and your opponent can still attack Yanmega if they have a Lysandre or something.
