From Fall regionals I remember T2 for Masters starting at around the same time as registration for VGC, so if you make it that far you could get into VGC with a round 1 loss or a late registration maybe

VGC Masters started pretty late for Fall regionals, they started registration when T4 for TCG was almost done

^I get that reference, and I think they do top cut the 2nd day because regular rounds + Top 32 happens on the first day and it gets really late

Yeah, Top cut for Masters is always the next morning.... I speak from experience when I say its hell if you make it past the first day I played from 9 AM to 10:30 PM through top 32 and I was dead tired only to wake up early the next morning for cut :(
