I used to always use Link. These days I've gotten pretty good with the Pokemon Trainer, Pikachu, Ganondorf, and Captain Falcon. I love the versatility with the Pokemon Trainer, and certain characters I just feel more comfortable with.

RE: Genders and Video Games Some games seem to cater to both genders nicely (I feel Okami did that, you feel Silent Hill does that). But I do feel most games target boys first (would you agree?). It makes sense from a marketing standpoint. If there is a girly game, most boys won't play it...

RE: Rumors & Speculation In BW there were 5 version exclusive lines each, I believe. In DP there was 4 each. So far in XY we have 4, so I'm thinking we might see one more? I'm a little skeptical this close to the release date. I don't think it'd be a Pokemon already released though.
