I don't know. Nihilego GX feels gimmicky at best, even when combined with stuff like Alolan Muk GX. That GX attack is definitely some shenanigans, though.

You do it to have Koko in the deck again so you can grab it for the ability again later, while tossing something like Tauros in its place.

This is really old and probably not the build I'd use at all. Raikou never struck me as very good even in testing.

I think OP is referring to the non-GX Drampa, to get more energy on the board with Amass. Actually sounds interesting, how's it working out? I want to try it with my own Koko deck.

For kicks I almost just wanna straight up use it with Lele GX offensively. Maybe use Exp. Share to keep the energy on the board to keep Energy Drive powered.

Just noticed that it's also not limited to attaching to Fire Pokemon. What else might this be funny with?
