    Gengar Line from “Raging Surf!”

Gengar's ability is pretty cool (even though it being a Stage 2 will likely prevent it from seeing play) and I really like its artwork. Big bold cartoon vibe.

Gholdengo ex, Hoopa ex, and Illustration Rares from “Raging Surf” Revealed!

My favorite arts here are both versions of Plusle & Minun and Octillery. Hoopa ex is not very interestingly designed...pretty typical Basic 2-prizer. Shauntal is bafflingly bad. I would understand it if Boss' Orders wasn't reprinted in this block and they were planning on this being a (much)...

Deoxys, Heat Rotom, Volcanion, and More from Tera Mewtwo and Skeledirge Decks!

Xatu was obviously created for Mewtwo ex to have some good energy accel since, being a Lightning-type that needs Psychic energy, it can't use Gardevoir ex. It's nice that despite Mewtwo ex being a starter set thing, they're actually trying to make it good. Whether or not it will actually be good...

Help Using a Pokemon ability that "attacks" is NOT considered an attack

I don't know of any Pokemon with an Ability like that (I could be wrong), but there is a Special Energy that protects from Abilities, Fusion Strike Energy. However, it only works on Fusion Strike Pokemon.

Discussion Why Does Pokémon eSports Still Promote Cheating in the Mainline Pokémon Games?

People will never stop cheating as long as the Pokemon games are so poorly designed for competitive play by making it so unreasonably difficult and time-consuming to obtain meta-viable Pokemon. This is one reason why I never gave a crap about official VGC and only find Smogon/Pokemon Showdown...

Tera Garchomp ex, Tera Froslass ex, and More Revealed from “Raging Surf!”

Great reveals! I'm thrilled Technical Machines are finally back (I think they should be a staple in the TCG) and I'm actually kinda happy Groudon is a 1-prizer (I just like them more, and I'm glad to see a normal Pokemon on the pack art - not sure how common that is in Japan, but it's rare in...

“Path to the Peak” TCG Show Announced!

Looks incredibly cheesy... ...which will probably make for a very entertaining watching experience.

“Raging Surf” Booster Pack Artwork Revealed!

Yeah, Groudon is due for another multi-prizer, but Kyogre's last multi-prizer is just a lame, forgettable Gym Promo stuffed into Crown Zenith, so I think it'd be fair if he got a new multi-prizer too. The biggest way in which Kyogre has Groudon beat in the current TCG is having an actual viable...

“Raging Surf” Booster Pack Artwork Revealed!

Unfortunately they could decide to make the energy cost of Garchomp reflect its Ground type, which would mean it would only take Fighting energy. That would suck considering Fighting type's lack of support, but they might very well do that.

“Raging Surf” Booster Pack Artwork Revealed!

Well, it probably won't help the Water-type Garchomp unfortunately since it presumably won't use Water energy...unless its energy typing is based on Dragon, in which case it would probably use Water energy since past Dragon-type Garchomps have.

New Enhanced Blister Featuring Armarouge, Houndstone, and Revavroom

It feels like they deliberately chose cards that are relatively good - like, they may not be meta, but they have effects that aren't useless. I think that's cool, might make it a little easier for kids to play.

“Obsidian Flames” English Set List, Products, and Info!

Yes, and possibly more importantly, it doesn't have the Genesect engine. Genesect's insane ability is definitely a big contributor to Mew's power. Mew has a bunch of miscellaneous advantages too, such as free retreat cost and Psychic Leap. It's versatile and powerful in a way this Tyranitar just...

“Obsidian Flames” English Set List, Products, and Info!

Froakie and Frogadier, but no Greninja?! What the heck? Anyway, this set is a bit...amazingly bad from a competitive perspective. If literally none of the cards from it see widespread play in competitive decks, I wouldn't be surprised. In a way, this set actually makes me appreciate past...

Scovillain ex, Moonlight Hill, and Other Gym Promos Revealed for July!

Yeah, this is confusing. Maybe it will be corrected when it's released. Unless they're deciding that Dark weakness and Fighting resistance is going to be an option for Fairy-type Pokemon...which technically would still be based on the games since Fairy does resist Fighting and Dark could be Poison.

New “Knock Out Collection” Featuring Mythical Pokemon!

I know these packs aren't really designed for play, but TWO non-Standard-legal cards, when both the Pokemon in question have Standard-legal cards available? Come on!

    Discussion United Wings at locals.

Good job! I think Lost Box will probably just be a horrible matchup for this deck forever, so it will have some problems as long as that's a powerful deck. Can I ask what the Dondozo stall deck was all about? Sounds like a wild deck!

Bellossom Line from “Ruler of the Black Flame!”

I like these kind of cards, but it's obviously bad. The last Bellossom was bad too. It seems like most Vileplumes are at least TRYING to be good even if they don't succeed, so it feels a bit unfair. I guess the vast majority of Pokemon printed, especially 1-prize Stage 2s, are incredibly sucky...

“Pokemon TCG: My First Battle” Product Images Revealed!

Wait, "six prize tokens"? This version of the game doesn't even have prize cards? Anyway, yeah...like everyone said, this is pretty much pointless.
