Xatu was obviously created for Mewtwo ex to have some good energy accel since, being a Lightning-type that needs Psychic energy, it can't use Gardevoir ex. It's nice that despite Mewtwo ex being a starter set thing, they're actually trying to make it good. Whether or not it will actually be good...

I don't know of any Pokemon with an Ability like that (I could be wrong), but there is a Special Energy that protects from Abilities, Fusion Strike Energy. However, it only works on Fusion Strike Pokemon.

People will never stop cheating as long as the Pokemon games are so poorly designed for competitive play by making it so unreasonably difficult and time-consuming to obtain meta-viable Pokemon. This is one reason why I never gave a crap about official VGC and only find Smogon/Pokemon Showdown...

Yeah, Groudon is due for another multi-prizer, but Kyogre's last multi-prizer is just a lame, forgettable Gym Promo stuffed into Crown Zenith, so I think it'd be fair if he got a new multi-prizer too. The biggest way in which Kyogre has Groudon beat in the current TCG is having an actual viable...

Unfortunately they could decide to make the energy cost of Garchomp reflect its Ground type, which would mean it would only take Fighting energy. That would suck considering Fighting type's lack of support, but they might very well do that.

Well, it probably won't help the Water-type Garchomp unfortunately since it presumably won't use Water energy...unless its energy typing is based on Dragon, in which case it would probably use Water energy since past Dragon-type Garchomps have.

Yeah, this is confusing. Maybe it will be corrected when it's released. Unless they're deciding that Dark weakness and Fighting resistance is going to be an option for Fairy-type Pokemon...which technically would still be based on the games since Fairy does resist Fighting and Dark could be Poison.

I like these kind of cards, but it's obviously bad. The last Bellossom was bad too. It seems like most Vileplumes are at least TRYING to be good even if they don't succeed, so it feels a bit unfair. I guess the vast majority of Pokemon printed, especially 1-prize Stage 2s, are incredibly sucky...
