I was on PTCGO with quad Mewtwo/Meloetta/Ho-Oh EX and beat it. I think you need an answer to mewtwo, because it steamrolls you. Also, Big Basics is a hard matchup so you might want to consider Mewtwo or Tornadus EX to hit them hard.

I'd say no, Dowsing Machine and CS just fit better. Max Potion and Potion are also decent substitutes that aren't Ace Specs.

Ether will be most commonly seen in speed decks, or decks that have a sour matchup against the disruptive Hammertime deck. Now what deck is that...:P
