I think the fears of M Rayquaza are unfounded. Right now Sceptile EX has more potential than M Sceptile EX. Toss in Ariados AOR and Dragalge FLF because why not. Struggling to think of a non-EX attacker to toss in. Plus, keep them on hand for when M Sceptile EX becomes good down the road.

Water has zero energy acceleration in the current format (sans Alpha Growth, but that isn't universal). So you need four turns to power up your EX, and either 4 Team Aqua 'mon on the bench, or a Silent Lab in play. That's allot of setup for a OHKO, and probably slower than the meta allows.
