Target Pulls Pokemon TCG Products from All U.S. Stores Amid Attack Incident

I managed to get a Battle Styles ETB off of Target’s online store and I’m not crying, I’m just disappointed with all of the entities involved with this fiasco.

Target Pulls Pokemon TCG Products from All U.S. Stores Amid Attack Incident

I’m only suggesting it since it’d give stores more identifying information that would allow them to ban bot-equipped scalpers, if you have any other ideas I’m sure we’d all love to hear it As its been said earlier in the thread MTG has a smaller financial return compared to sports cards and...

Target Pulls Pokemon TCG Products from All U.S. Stores Amid Attack Incident

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I called it, although I will admit I'm both shocked and disappointed that it's in part due to someone being stupid with weapons. Eh, there's still room for criticism in regards to how these big box stores are handling it. TPCi (technically Play! Pokemon, but AFAIC both are...

'Battle Style' is March's Set, Introduces New Single Strike and Rapid Strike Cards!

Their distributor is probably upping the price of Pokémon TCG products, I’ve been hearing rumors that some stores are boosting their own prices because of it.

'Battle Style' is March's Set, Introduces New Single Strike and Rapid Strike Cards!

Oh now that’s smart. ReedPop did a similar thing when they were selling some NYCC-exclusive Funko Pops, only the codes were given out via a lottery (due to the items being a numbered limited edition) and the price without codes was a whopping $10,000,000 USD each.

Pokemon World Championships Again Delayed Until Next Year

I highly doubt the main event itself will be run in the Expanded format, historically Worlds has always been a Modified-format event with only ONE (2015) running Expanded.

Adjust Your Expectations: Pokemon TCG Shortages Will Continue Into 2021

Didn’t they say the SAME thing regarding Champion’s Path’s supply issue back in October and it only resulted in the ETBs being reprinted? That said I’m more of pessimist and, until I actually SEE more products in stores and said stores putting HARSH limits on the amount of product a person can...

Pokemon World Championships Again Delayed Until Next Year

Probably for the same reasons why Junior and Senior divIsion players can’t compete in Player’s Cups, local and federal laws preventing TPCi from going through with the idea.

Pokemon World Championships Again Delayed Until Next Year

Eh, I had a feeling that it'd get postponed again. It's also worth noting that doing the games on the TCGO would essentially lock out Japanese and Korean players, the TCGO is a TPCi-only thing that largely caters to the Western part of the player base.

McDonald's 25th Anniversary Pokemon Promotion Starts in February -- Way Too Many Goodies!

And I called it, although as I mentioned earlier this largely varies depending on the management and promotions.

McDonald's 25th Anniversary Pokemon Promotion Starts in February -- Way Too Many Goodies!

Unfortunately the BK promotion is something I doubt any fast food restaurant will ever consider replicating or outshining, it’d probably cost a fortune to do and there’s still that massive recall to consider.

McDonald's 25th Anniversary Pokemon Promotion Starts in February -- Way Too Many Goodies!

Like I mentioned in the post above it’ll vary from store to store. Most managers should know that this’ll be as popular as past Pokemon promotions (and some non-Pokemon ones too). And, for those of us who can order lunch whilst being on the clock, McDelivery.

McDonald's 25th Anniversary Pokemon Promotion Starts in February -- Way Too Many Goodies!

Great article, but there's one thing that should be mentioned... While it is true that McDonald's site says that they can be bought seperately, it will vary from location to location due to how each manager handles the promotion. Some know that people will just buy the toys to hawk online for a...

Adjust Your Expectations: Pokemon TCG Shortages Will Continue Into 2021

And here were go... Did you even check out the link and see the kinds of products that were mentioned in it? I’m 99.9999999% sure that Pokémon TCG merch is considered a form of toy to many consumers and retailers (remember that Target’s recent deal on toys also applied to TCG products)...

Adjust Your Expectations: Pokemon TCG Shortages Will Continue Into 2021

It’s comparable to the point where various congressmen threw around the idea and introduced a bill criminalizing consumer level scalper bots back in 2018. Why it never actually got any traction is honestly puzzling and, if you ask me, a bit disgraceful. Also, buying up 300 boxes of a product at...

Adjust Your Expectations: Pokemon TCG Shortages Will Continue Into 2021

Whenever I hear people say that there are no good ways to counteract scalping I always remind people that ticket scalping is pretty much dead thanks to changes made by retailers and, at least here in the US, the federal government stepping in and criminalizing the usage of ticket-buying bots via...

News TPCi needs your input at a critical point regarding Play! Pokemon AND PTCG?

From what I’ve heard it’s basically due to Dire Wolf Digital, the actual developers behind the Pokémon TCGO, losing the drive to work on and improve the game. The most they’ll do is add new sets, temporarily ban cards that are extremely bugged, patch those bugs, and update the game to be in-line...

Adjust Your Expectations: Pokemon TCG Shortages Will Continue Into 2021

From what I understand it’s in part due to how Evolutions and Steam Siege were overprinted to heck and back, TPCi is basically doing small initial print runs and then prints more of certain sets depending on how well the initial print run sold since Team Up. Unfortunately this also has a...

Adjust Your Expectations: Pokemon TCG Shortages Will Continue Into 2021

Well this sucks, I had a feeling that one Play! Pokemon Tweet was just empty promises and I’m REALLY not pleased to hear that this is continuing. Seconded, I’m also pretty sure some folks would want to see some TCG scalpers end up like that one guy scalping PS5s.

News TPCi needs your input at a critical point regarding Play! Pokemon AND PTCG?

I got this email yesterday and I pointed out the issues that TPCi should deal with (Standard being a pain in the rear thanks to cards like ADP, Expanded being an expensive format with too few bans and no real way to get need-to-run cards outside of third-party sellers, too little stock reaching...
