It's really weird to me to encounter people who don't remember those old sprites from having actually played the games when they were new. Heck, to me, pokemon ITSELF still feels like a "new" franchise...I guess because it came out in my teens : /

I don't see why they'd never, ever do an "un-cute" eevee (though that particular bug-eevee fakemon still looks as cutesy to me as they usually are)...it's not like the presence of one would hurt the marketing of the rest.

I definitely expect dark over ghost here, the design just feels more like it's a solid, tangible pokemon than a ghost or even a ghost inhabiting a tree, but we'll see, ghost would definitely be cool.
