Volcanion is for its Steam Up ability to put the Basic Fire Energy in the discard for Mega Turbo use... I don't see why or how Evolution Jammer Banette would be more useful... Other than that I agree, you do need at least 1 more N or Sycamore for consistency, and 4 Spirit Link to soften the blow...

Sableye is a new Exeggutor (Plasma Freeze 5/116). Exeggutor did do 10 damage, but it was an evolution and 10 damage is negligible when you can have 2-3 Decidueye sniping. Along with Vileplume shutting items off, it's going to be a nasty combo. (That I will probably play.)

What color energy will the Lugia-EX/Blissey deck have? It's colorless... will it have foil DCE? :o

Now that you mention it, I can see that. However, both of these cards saw and/or still see competitive play so that could be cool to see. Still wish Fini would have a GX, as it is my favorite of the 4. :/

That's kind of silly. It just doesn't really make any sense, include 3 of the 4 Tapus and neglect the other one completely. But who knows, they might surprise us. At least this set will actually have another staple card, been waiting a while for something like that.

Additionally, remove Hard Charm completely. It will not be legal next season, as it is from XY Base. I suggest making it 3 Team Rocket's Handiwork instead of 2, +1 Crushing Hammer, and +1 Lysandre.

It is entirely possible to make a functioning deck without Shaymin-EX and/or Hoopa-EX, like you said. It would just be a little more inconsistent in setting up. I don't actually run and Hoopa-EX in mine and it works just as well. (Congrats to your friend by the way!)

I just get as set up as I can turn 1 and 2, then just go to town with Garbodor to try and slow down my opponent.

I began theorizing and testing Sceptile/MSceptile with Garbodor a few weeks ago, and it seems to be working pretty well. I'd give it a try.

You should add 1-2 Shaymin-EX in as well. Along with that, a Ninja Boy so Shaymin-EX can be removed from the bench and swapped with a Nidoran.
