Ruling card series not legal for official play?

The modified format changes after the World Championships every year. Worlds usually occurs in August, so you have a while before the format will change. And before you ask, no, we do not know for sure what the next modified format will be. There are speculations, but no one knows for sure...

    Ruling Instant lvl x?

No, Leveling Up works very similarly to Evolving. Except it has to be active in order to Level Up, while Evolving can be done while on the bench or while active. The only way to Level Up a Pokemon the turn you play it would be by using Level Max, a card that America does not have as of yet.

Ruling Power Spray Vs. Unown G(uard)

Thats correct, also though, it cannot try to attach itself for the remainder of that turn. So, what if you can KO the Unown G while it's on their bench during your turn? :P

    Ruling Kingdra VS Guard

@Taylor45, *double thumbs up* :D With Kingdras Bench damage, it is just that, damage. Unown G only prevents effects of attacks. Damage is not an effect, even if it is bench damage. The general rule of thumb with Unown G and other effects like it, is that they prevent anything that is not...

    Ruling Toxicroak and Sand attack

Assuming you are talking about Toxicroak MT, Taylor 45 is correct, it does not prevent the Poison from being removed if they go to the bench. Most, if not all, Sand Attacks affect the Defending Pokemon. So if you use a Sand attack that deals damage, and KO with it, the Pokemon that they...

    Ruling Bench space.

Ok guys thats enough, stop arguing about it. Short answer: No you cannot simply Knock Out one of your bench Pokemon because you need bench space. Unless you have something that either deals damage to it, or there is some effect, (like Regigigas LvXs Power or SSU) to let you Knock Out or...

    Ruling Two Questions!

One quick clarification on the point of being Poisoned, If you deal "Toxic" Poison to a Pokemon, and then you hit them with something that inflicts normal Poison, the "Toxic" Poison is no longer in effect. Whenever a Pokemon is affected by a Special Condition, the new Special Condition replaces...

    Ruling Electivire Card

No, Turn A, you choose to discard, you deal 120. Turn B, the turn after Turn A, you choose not to discard, it does 60. The effect of dealing extra damage is only active for that one turn, then you have to discard again in order to make the attack deal more damage.

    Ruling Can you do this?

No, you can't play a card and leave the effect "on the stack" if I remember the correct term from Magic. When you play a card, it must be used immediately. In that situation, you cannot even play the Rare Candy because there is nothing in your hand to evolve the Duskull into. If, for example...

Ruling Clarification needed on Energy effects.

Swift basically cuts through anything that affects damage done to the Defending. So if you use Swift on a Pokemon and that Pokemon has Special Metals attached, you ignore the Special Metals.

    Ruling Ditto LA

It means that you need the exact same energy to use the attack as the Pokemon the attack is actually on needs. So if the attack you are using needs GGC, you need GGC on Ditto to use it.

    Ruling Electrode - SW

If your opponent KOs Electrode, or if you KO it, your opponent still takes a prize. It checks for being KOed, the KO goes through, but instead of discarding Electrode, it becomes an energy.

Ruling Knives Monroe's: Baby/Speed Slide Question

Read the bold, it's exactly that. TMs do not say to discard, because of that, we don't. It works the same way with Baby Pokemon. They no longer have the Baby Rule printed on them, so it is no longer applied. If they were to suddenly stop printing the Tool Rule on Tools, it would no longer...

Ruling Knives Monroe's: Baby/Speed Slide Question

The "Baby Rule" no longer applies to newer Baby Pokemon. I know this isnt exactly pertaining to new vs. old Baby Pokemon, but in a way it does. This kind of lets you know that the Baby Rule no longer applies. Basically, if it's a Baby Pokemon that has a Baby Evolution Power, the Baby Rule...

    Ruling Searching multi energy?

Smeargle only lets you get basic energy, so you can't use it to get a Multi Energy.

    What's synergy?

*Moved to General Discussion* Can't believe I never noticed this before. :S Oh well, whatever, continue.

    Ruling Searching multi energy?

Pertaining to your question, you cannot search for Multi Energy, for the same reason Psychic Pokemon Master stated. It doesnt provide any type of energy while in the deck. However, if anything is ever made that lets you search your deck for an Energy card, not specifying basic energy or a...

    Ruling Steelix (DPSF)

You also could be thinking of the spoiler for Steelix, in which it used the same text. ;) But yes, they are correct, you can only deal 20 to each Pokemon once, no matter how few Pokemon they have, or how many Energy you have on Steelix.

Ruling Starmie and Gengars poke power

Just for clarification, here are a couple of Compendium Rulings: Starmie works the same way as Uxie does, and the second ruling applies to something like Baltoys second attack. If it lets you switch your active and you choose to switch, the Pokemon that attacked is the one that gets Knocked...

Ruling unown g and cresselia lv x

This is correct, the effect isn't on the Defending Pokemon. It's more of a 'check.' The attack checks to see if it KOed, and if it did, you take 2 prizes instead. It is similar to Poliwrath LA, even if it was damaged while on the bench, Focus Punch will still do nothing. It only checks to...
