Discussion Lost Zone Making A Comeback?

We've had cards that benefit from the Lost Zone before. (Call of Legends Lucario, Mew Prime and the Lost World Stadium being the biggest examples.) I don't think we'll get that kind of thing again personally. But I do expect more cards along the lines of Lysandre Prism Star that control the...

    Zeraora-GX from SM7a Revealed!

I'd assume that was deliberate, the poses are IDENTICAL. The details are maybe SLIGHTLY different since it's completely redrawn and not just ripped from Virizion-EX, but eh.

'Mega Charizard X vs. Mega Blastoise Battle Arena Decks' Announced!

I'd guess the 11th will be Charizard/Blastoise Spirit Link personally. As for the people down on the cover cards... The cover cards rarely mean anything for these decks. It's the other reprints that sell them to the actual players. (With kids that like the cover Pokemon and parents looking for...

    Zeraora-GX from SM7a Revealed!

Wait... Is the translation on the Trainer blocking accurate? I feel like that kind of effect wouldn't be acceptable... I'd assume it actually only makes itself immune to Trainer effects or something, Omega Barrier style.

Eeveelution-GX Starter Sets in November -- Include Eevee-GX!

I could see Eevee-GX being mentioned on Jolteon/Vaporeon/Flareon-GX as a potential Pokemon to evolve from alongside Eevee, like Blissey-ex did, maybe benefiting in some way from doing so, similar to, say, evolving from babies did in Gen 3 and 4. Or Eevee could just be stand-alone, too. Both seem...

'Explosive Impact,' Japan's SM8 Set; Raises Questions About Switch Release

I'm glad that this is what's rumoured. But that's mostly because I don't want a main-series Pokemon game I actually care about on the Switch.

    Help Team galactic mars ?

Names matter. Whether they depict the same character or not is irrelevant. There used to be an exception to this if their JAPANESE names matched (EXP.ALL vs. Exp. Share), but as that required a reference due to the name change, that is no longer applicable. (And these two don't have the same...

Fun The Theme Deck Faking Thread

I've opted to go a little closer to the Forbidden Light Theme Decks' composition (dropping the Pokemon count to 20 rather than the 24 of past sets), though 20 energy is too high, so I'm sticking to 18 energy in favour of 22 Trainers. Burning Strike (Boundaries Crossed) Plasma Battalion...

    News Japan's SM6b, 'Champion Road'!

You mean Weakness. And yes it does. All weaknesses back then were 2x (and yes, ones that don't have a multiplier listed STILL work that way.) Base Set Caterpie and Weedle are currently Standard-legal in the exact same circumstances due to the Evolutions ones.

    News Japan's SM6b, 'Champion Road'!

Well, Dunsparce isn't going to see any play, but holy crap, it is actually an exact reprint, so you could totally use a Sandstorm Dunsparce.

Discussion Forbidden Light attack name changes

Does this really need a thread devoted to it? It's really only the first one that's a major change to begin with. (And Shadowy Hunter, I guess, which admittedly is a fairly poor attack name, though Shadow Assassin isn't really any better.) And even then, "Plague" wasn't a very fitting attack...

Discussion English Forbidden Light Unofficial and partial Set list

I have no problem with weak cards depicting legendaries/mythics getting lower rarities. It's no different to the occasional common Stage 1's/Uncommon Stage 2's we get IMO. A little unusual, but not at all unwarranted. Why should Ultra Prism Manaphy have been anything above Uncommon, for example...

Help What to Bother Bringing to Trade Events

I personally bring Ultra/Secret Rares, holos and Reverse Holo Rares and Trainers. (I use a large ring binder for this.) Ideally, regular trainers would be a good idea, too, but I needed to draw the line somewhere. Reverse Common/Uncommons (aside from Trainers) aren't THAT sought after, but you...

    Florges from 'Forbidden Light!'

I don't buy your reasoning. The Japanese attack's also only 1 word and a lot of complaints are around the fact it "changed". And there's plenty of other one-word GX attacks, such as Vikavolt's Gigatron GX, Zoroark's Trickster GX and Gardevoir's Twilight GX. And realistically, "Judgment GX" is a...

    Florges from 'Forbidden Light!'

If anything, I'd say it's more likely because of the English word "Judgment"'s link to Arceus. It's not intended as a reference to Arceus, so I don't see an issue with a word synonymous with "Judgment" being used instead.

Discussion Full Art Trainers (Past, Present, and Future)

I'm not huge on Full Art Trainersin general, but let's see if I can do this... Past: Battle Reporter Present: Delinquent Future: Zinnia I guess? I'm not particularly excited for any, but she's probably the best of the options available. Dream: Sabrina's Gaze. More recent? Imakuni?.

PTCGO How the codes work on ptcgo?

For Booster Pack codes, you get a random pack of that set. The contents of the pack you got the code from aren't at all related to what you'll pull in PTCGO. (Indeed, white/green codes both give you the exact same packs, which stack in your collection, showing there's no actual difference.)...

Fun The Theme Deck Faking Thread

Well, I've done all the Sun & Moon era sets... Let's try some SM-era style Theme Decks with older sets, shall we? (This, it would appear, is harder than I first thought. Well, we'll try anyway!) The Third Gem (EX: Ruby & Sapphire) Cosmic Radiance (EX: Sandstorm) Mudslide (EX: Dragon)...

    Card Errors Database (Include Images!)

I'd guess all three are fake. The latter two (especially the Pidgeotto, that kind of error simply doesn't happen) for sure. The first one is maybe plausible enough to maybe be genuine, but I doubt it. (And really, you'd need to provide images of these cards to be 100% certain.)
