Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

Did every deck run hex and spam it, did every deck run ghetsis and spam it?

Ebb and Flow: a recurrent or rhythmical pattern of coming and going or decline and regrowth. 1. Hex/Ghetsis see high use 2. Playes build decks less suspectible to Hex/Ghetsis 3. Hex/Ghetsis use weans 4. Decks weak to Hex/Ghetsis see high use 5. Hex/Ghetsis use rises This mean as a meta starts...

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

The compelling argument as least as I see it is that keeping cards like hex or ghetsis around is it would create an ebb and flow of what techs are used and what engines are viable. This does mean that testing is harder are players then have to predict which hard counters will be in high use at...

So TPCi could be completely wrong with these bans? If so then why am I getting so much hate and disrespect for not toeing the corporate line and praising TPCi like everyone else?

Ghestsis still a problem even though it was part of expanded since its inception, never caused any issue until zoroark. Or are you saying because zoroark brought the card back to the front of everyone's minds it is a problem now?

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

So the problem is zoroark not ghetsis at least that is how i'm understanding it Please understand, I want to get to the core of this, no moving goal posts find what caused this cards to be an issue, and try and figure out why it wasn't targeted but those cards were.

But that doesn't make sense to me. If ghetsis is such a problem that it needed to be banned, it would have been banned sooner not 5 years after its release. I say that because 5 years is basically an eternity for TCGs. Thats like 25% of the games life span

So you are saying every arcetype should be viable and every deck type should be viable? edit: basically no hard counters should exist for any type of card.

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

No, it doesn't make you run without items, it makes running with items risky and the fact the entire community forgot about that card and got burned by it should tell you something. The meta took a risk by being weak to item disruption and when it bit them in the back it should have caused a...

Here is the solution to ghetsis play less item heavy decks. Just like any other card in a format you build around it or you accept the risk by not doing so.

So they need to hurry up and ban regice from the new set cause it is T1 stadium lock

Thats to assume what they intend or intended doesn't change from season to season. Thats also to assume that any of this has been designed with expanded in mind.

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

Why didn't they ban it last quarter or the quarter before that, they knew it was a thing, its been a thing since wally was release in may of 2015. I want to say it was not nerfed because of the T1 lock but because of the incoming sets will have a heavy focus on item based engines.

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

Thank you for explaining those two things to me. However I feel you might have missed another point about banning cards. It is not that it is admitting a design flaw but that they may want to adjust the format, We know we are getting back into a item heavy format and likely going to have turbo...

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

From 2015: http://www.pokebeach.com/2015/06/lysandres-trump-card-now-banned-in-america & http://www.pokebeach.com/2015/09/shiftry-officially-banned-from-expanded So trev was only nerfed because it was a popular lock deck, so does that mean all lock decks will get nerfed if they get popular or...

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

If wally was so deserving of a ban why did it survive 3 years in standard and even get a reprint in generations why not just ban it as soon as it was released since it created t1 trev in may of 2015 and nothing was touched until now... two days before a new sets pre-release. Something tells me...

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

So the way I see all these bans is them wanting to ban the zoroegg combo without actually fixing the problem in the first place which is zoroark but I guess that tone will change once it rotates from standard.

    Why I'm Quitting the TCG

Unfortunately N isn't legal in standard for at least 2 and a half weeks more weeks. Plus if Night march was so easy to counter wouldn't it see less play?
