Sorry if the wording is funny, I play using japanese cards and forget how proper wording is for the english cards. When using a move such as Steam Siege Hydreigon's Cruel Fang (active pokemon that gets hit by this attack does -40 damage next turn) on a DiancieEX(with the -30 damage ability)...

I think that this translation sticks closer to the meaning of the japanese cards attack name, which had nothing to do with barbs.
