    Over-Simplicity: Is it an Issue

RE: Over-Simplicity: Is it an issue? Though I don't have many complaints about the current format (other than the toad being ridiculously broken), I get what the author is saying. Cards are pretty simple compared to previous formats (which I admit I didn't play in, but am just going off of the...

    Your Greatest Fears & Phobias

Lately, it's been my tires blowing me in the middle of the road, but that's because it happened to me twice. One of those times, I didn't even know the tires were out (I thought it was the engine or something) until I saw the hubcap fly off as I was pulling into a parking lot.

    Ancient Trait Whiscash

I don't think the attacks are that great. HOWEVER, that trait on a stage 1 has combo potential. If you could move the energy around (aromatisse or the new Eelectross) or use it some way (Camerrrupt EX), you could have something. And for what it's worth, the attacks aren't terrible.

    Primal Clash Kingdra

I think it could work well with the PLF one. Discard energy with Dragon Blast to power up Dragon Vortex.

    Alternate Slurpuff Decks

I recently tested a Slurpuff/Swampert deck against an Empoleon/Dusknoir deck. I lost and probably need to rethink my build, but it does have it's strengths and maybe with different pokemon (like Miltank), it could end up being something. On the other hand, Empoleon/Dusknoir is better than...

Discussion Could Blastoise Make a Comeback?

With Dive Ball giving water Pokemon a search item that's not ultra ball, the rotation of level ball should no longer be an issue for Blastoise. The toad is still a problem, but with the inclusion of something like Mewtwo EX (or even a toad of your own), you can go toe to toe while not deviating...

    Night March Variants

RE: Night March ^ Teammates is why I think a non EX deck could be so powerful. You get more opportunities to play it without giving up a third of your prizes. It's not always practical because there are so many strong exes, but it is advantageous.

    Night March Variants

RE: Night March I think this deck is better now that repeat ball and teammates exist. I'd opt to play this with no EXes to force an opponent to take all 6 prizes one at a time.

    Archie, Maxie, and Mega Evolution

I'm thinking a deck with Eelectrode and several Ultra Ball might be the way to go. Use Electrode to fill your hand up to four cards, ultra ball to discard 2 (one of them being the Pokemon you want to get out there) and then play Archie or Maxie. As it stands, it would still require a lot of...

    Most OP Primal Clash Cards?

Ancient Trait: The one which lets you attack twice. Even the worst attacks can become broken with this trait (Medicham is probably the best because of strong energy and Machamp). Primal/EX: Primal Groudon. I've tested this and it's downright evil. Huge HP, can't be affected by trainers...

Fearow and Energy Recycle Gym Challenge Promos [2/1]

Fearow is okay. On it's own, it wouldn't be that great outside of limited play, but maybe being able to evolve right away will have some application outside of getting a cheap hit off (like Butterfre/Miltank). Energy recycle is nice, but I still miss superrod. :(

    Primal Clash Deck Possibilities

I discovered that you could make a deck around the new supporter, teammates. What you do is use an assortment of cheap attackers that with the help of Muscle Bang and Bangle, can hit magic numbers against certain cards. This idea has existed for a while, but with teammates in the format, you...

    Craziest Pokemon Game

On PTCGO, when Eels were big, I managed to KO two Landorus EX back to back by flipping four heads on Zapdos's Thundering Hurricane. A year ago, when I got into playtcg, I managed to swing the game in my favor with Sableye's confuse ray. This was a desperate last ditch effort after failing to...

Plasma Variants (Thundurus EX / Deoxys EX)

Yesterday, I played against someone using a Thundurus/Lugia deck with bats instead of the usual Deoxys. I thought it was genius for a lot of reasons. Mainly that by playing bats, you can still put things in range of a Lugia KO, but you also have some non EX, non Basic, and Non Plasma Pokemon...

    Alternate Slurpuff Decks

How about Flareon decks? They have room for cards like this. I wouldn't run a heavy line, but maybe 2-2 for extra draw/discard fodder.

    Primal Clash Deck Possibilities

Camerrupt/Emboar with Malamar EX to put the toad to sleep.

All ‘Double Crisis’ Scans and Translations! [1/28]

Quite a few interesting cards here. -Camerrupt could be good with Camerupt EX. Only problem is powering up Camerrupt and keeping him alive before getting hit by Yveltal or Mewtwo. -Walerin is pretty neat. Both attacks are interesting and it gets tons of support (double energy) -Claydol...

    Primal Clash Deck Possibilities

All of the megas have a lot of potential. I haven't had much success with Kyogre (bad build + bad matchup), but I think with a good build, it can be powerful. Gardevoir has been amazing so far. It fits right in with Aromatisse and Xerneas and is the missing piece that fairy decks have been...

Team Magma Great Ball from 'Double Crisis' Revealed! [1/26]

Pretty sure it searches for Fighting Energy (F = Fighting, R = Fire). This is the first of the Magma/Aqua cards that seem competitive. We'll have to see what other tricks they bring.

    Decent Type Advantage Attackers

For fighting, there's the Diggersby of this set. Nothing special (70 for 3 colorless), but it's all we got for now (unless you could Excadrill EX, otherwise meh).
