RE: What version and starter do you choose? Omega Ruby. I plan on getting Torchic because it's my favorite Hoenn starter, but if they make the game in which you can only get one Hoenn Mega stone per game I will choose another one since I already have the Blazikenite.

It's good for card shop owners to increase sales, they can give you a promo if buy a booster box, a promo for every 4 booster packs that you buy, a promo for 4th place in a tournament or something like that.
