News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

because then you have a pokemon with 180 hp and almost all of your energy sitting in the active, which should not pose much problem for the opponent to KO. if it was an ability that allowed you to move the energy then this thing would be insane.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

messes with anything really, not much is gonna be attacking for one energy next turn, hell in fact i'd say gardy's one of the few that cares the least about it, you'd end up with 5 energy on you, they literally have to draw 1 fairy (and they have many in the deck now) and it's an OHKO. speaking...

oh wow that's... pretty terrible, can't even aqua patch the energy.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

you don't need dhelmise, another starmie is 30 damage if you discard an energy. this deck could actually run on energy-heavy, and with cards like mars/kukui/hau and such. just fill your bench with starmie and roll

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

not exactly the same, it's actually a mix of team rocket's trickery (draw 2, YOUR OPPONENT discards a card), and the original mars (draw 2, YOU SELECT a card from the opponent's hand, to the bottom of their deck) i ran a cheeky control deck with these effects back then, it was fun.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

i wonder why people are saying it's the first time we skip the enemy turn. while very inconsistent and risky, dialga Lv. X could also do it. also rolling this with ninja boy... man that sounds good...

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

looks stupidly good paired with guzma and any metal-accelerating deck. guzma+CB and you're OHKOing a benched lele for 2 prizes and get to go again. shred also allows it to battle hoopa and alolan ninetales, although it can't ohko either.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

only because we don't have any mainstream cheeky deck that paralyzes you. if everyone started playing heatmorchu then you'd see this a lot more i'm sure hahaha.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

the synergy of these cards is too good. if somehow you manage to set a garchomp and 2 lucarios you're rolling. but that's definitely going to be a problem, setting up in the first place. also a shame it can't seem to hit 250 in standard unless i'm forgetting something.

    Glaceon-GX from SM5!

certainly reminds me of glaceon lv.X, of which i made a niche deck a millenia ago. shame it doesn't block all opponent abilities because there's plenty of pokemon with strong non-GXEX abilities. this vs volcanion though, is hilariously overkill

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

it was mostly a joke statement following the "coin flip meta incoming", but i guess for newer players putting that this attack isn't affected (since it's on the opponent's turn) is important.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

coin flip meta incoming, with effects this broken, not even the unreliability of coin flips will get in the way. second coin flip victini is gonna skyrocket in price

inb4 zero energy full healing raticate deck, sounds so dumb it might work.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

while i really like the attack and it merges well with the other lunalas, i dunno, guess it's something that'd have to be used mid-game after you get one of your lunala GX's KO'd, but then you'd still need to charge up a 4 energy lunala and all... as said, i can see it as a tech in some deck...

Ruling Drampa GX and Splash Energy

i believe you are correct, the attack must resolve fully before checking for KO's. i'd wait for more confirmation however.

Discussion Altering Prize Rulings and Going 2nd

greedy dice have to be shown the moment you pick them from the prizes, and having 4 in there means that on average, you'll only have to draw 4 prizes (since at least 2 should flip heads) in reality it's a little bit over 4 but i'm not gonna calc that at 4:50 am. you could just modify your deck...

Discussion Altering Prize Rulings and Going 2nd

rodzillaj3 got there before i could, while i agree that the idea sounds great (although counterpoint, a good part of card games is fighting the odds), the existence of greedy dice makes the whole thing crumble in the current format.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

i wonder, how would this deck deal with a volcanion one, i'm looking at it and i can't think of a way. or is that matchup simply an insta-loss?

    Help Gladion Ruling?

i do have a ruling question on a different vein, what would happen if somebody used a town map first, so now all prize cards are face up?

Discussion Diancie no longer ran in Gardevoir GX lists?

they have different jobs in a way, diance is consistency, sylveon is disruption (or else) as you said, diance guarantees the evolution, and is only one prize. that's good. sylveon however guarantees you any three cards, it can be a rare candy, a gardevoir, and then another gardevoir/candy if...
