I am in need of more new info. Hopefully, when CoroCoro leaks in about two weeks, it will reveal a few new Pokemon, gym leaders, or even the Pokemon Professor.

Yes, but you also have to take into account the specific field of study that the Professor specializes in. For example, I'm sure it took longer for Birch to become a professor than for Juniper to become one, simply based on the areas that they study on.

That's exactly what I was thinking, and I think I mentioned that. Kalos seems large enough to accommodate a large amount of Pokemon, as long as they don't put certain Pokemon in weird areas and cram a large number in all of the areas. Hence why I think there will be lots of areas and routes in...

I agree, it was definitely rushed, which seems strange, because they had several years to work on it between the release of the 4th generation and the 5th generation. However, they did also release Platinum, and HGSS. So I can see how the region seems rushed.

Even tho Kalos is large, there had better be a ton of areas in the region for it to be able to incorporate 450 Pokemon in total. Honestly, I don't know if any region, no matter how big, is large enough to have the capacity to hold that many Pokemon. But I guess we shall know soon.

It seems to me tho that most of the studying would be either in the field, or because most Pokemon professors have years of experience due to having been on a journey, they wouldn't require much to be a Pokemon Professor, even if the minimum age was 18. Hell, Hilbert, Hilda, Nate, Rosa, Calem...
